Great new little gem in Red Lodge! Locally owned (hooray) and serving up a legitimately good coffee, Hidden Basin should be found!! Owners Kayla and Lane (sweet couple) are so lovely. They have a heart for community and quality drinks. I love the interior as they’ve leaned into both quirky and classic design, making the space inviting and interesting. Please check this great new spot out!

Loved this little gem of a coffee shop in Red Lodge. Delicious coffee, great breakfast items. Try the drink with cold brew and peach lemonade. Sounds like a weird combo but it was super refreshing. We ended up going there at least 3 times over our weeklong trip. The owners are super kind and we enjoyed chatting with them. You won’t regret a pop into Hidden Basin!

What a delightful little spot! We are traveling on a motorcycle, from Virginia to Vancouver, BC, checking out the little towns along the way. Hidden Basin Coffee Post and Eatery in Red Lodge, Montana was the perfect resting place, with a comfy couch where it was hard to get unstuck!
The ice coffees gave us the afternoon pep we were looking for. The owner is super knowledgeable about the little town of Red Lodge and Montana beyond. She gave us some excellent travel tips, noting which roads were best and places to shy away from.
Displayed on one wall, are mug shots of numerous celebrities. I was beyond impressed when the owner had the detailed scoop on each one!
We don’t get to catch all the great places… I’m glad we didn’t miss this one!

My favorite new coffee shop. Hidden basin is a hidden gem. I’m so glad I stopped by especially since I’m hooked now. Their bacon sandwiches are life affirming and their coffee is fabulous. Today I stepped outside my comfort zone and got some tea and I’m in heaven. I wake up a little faster nowadays because I’m so excited to come here. Thanks you guys ❣️❣️❣️

My visit to Red Lodge unfortunately was at its end, and plans to hit the road bright and early required a hearty on-the-go breakfast. I was looking for someplace that I had not tried before and, thanks to the wonders of the internet, stumbled across the Hidden Basin Coffee Post. Truly a not-so-well-hidden treasure! Although tempted by the burritos, I decided to try a puff. Besides being a unique spin on the breakfast sandwich concept, it also seemed more practical for on-the-road consumption. I was a bit concerned about the flakiness, as I prefer not to wear food while driving. But as it turned out, the puff was a precise balance of flaky, resulting in a croissant-like experience without a storm of pastry shavings all over the car, not to mention, me. The puff turned out to be the perfect choice. Delicious and practical. And the coffee was also a delight. Smooth and not bitter…just right for that extra wake up before embarking on the next leg of a journey. The staff (owners?) were helpful and friendly, with a dose of good humor thrown in. Should I find myself in Red Lodge again, Hidden Basin is now my go-to breakfast destination. Maybe the next time, I’ll chill, hang out, and try that breakfast burrito!
