I am writing to formally review a negative experience at the McDonald’s location at 2375 Tapo Street, Simi Valley, CA 93063, which occurred today, January 8, 2026.

While using the drive-thru, I placed an order for two double cheeseburgers, plain, with quarter-pounder patties. When I noticed that the order screen showed only one double cheeseburger, I politely said “hello” and “excuse me” over the drive-thru intercom to correct the mistake.

Instead of responding professionally, the cashier—who identified himself as Gavin—raised his voice and aggressively said, “I ASKED YOU IF THERE’S SOMETHING ELSE!” I calmly explained that the order was incorrect and that I had ordered two double cheeseburgers. As I approached the window, I also stated that there was no need for him to be rude, as I was only trying to correct an error in my order.

Gavin continued to act in a confrontational and dismissive manner, stating that I should understand he was “dealing with money” and “trying the best he could,” and later claimed he could not hear me. At no point did he apologize or attempt to de-escalate the situation. A female supervisor took over to complete my payment but did not acknowledge the incident or offer an apology for her employee’s behavior.

I am a regular customer at this location and often visit to purchase food for my daughter. This experience was upsetting and unnecessary. In my opinion, Gavin demonstrated a serious lack of basic customer service skills, professionalism, and manners. Mistakes happen, but raising one’s voice and becoming combative with a customer who is calmly correcting an order is unacceptable.

My friend & I grab drinks here almost daily & come back from lunch once a week. Every employee at this location is friendly, polite, helpful & professional. They always get our orders correct.

Only one issue with a manager in the parking lot due to their poor driving skills.

Definitely recommend.

Very disgusted with what I witnessed today! The manager had a small altercation with customer and her response to him was to stick her tongue out to him!!!! I stepped in a told the customer to make a complaint and add me as eye witness! Apparently the daughter of the establishment also works there and her reaction seemed almost uncaring!! I have never witnessed such disgusting behavior from a manager. I really hope this review gets to the right people of this establishment! Recordings should be reviewed.

The lady in the drive through was very rude. Rolling her eyes at me with her fan eyelashes. I asked her for a breakfast sandwich that I saw in the app she said they didn’t sell that so when I got to the window I showed her the picture from the app and she said “oh we do sell it but only in combo” why didn’t she say that from the beginning, she maid it seem as they didn’t sell it. I don’t understand why they are rude when you’re paying for it. Get another job if you suck at customer service. Not going to this location anymore.

Usual McDonald’s with minimal employees due to self ordering kiosk. Difficult to get help at the counter sometimes, but the employees were happy to help when you got their attention. Has a playground with wet wipes, so that’s cool.

I went in today to get some food for the road at 6pm and witnessed a very bad scene of a hysterical woman insulting a staff members intelligence for a previous mistake though I felt really impressed at Maria and the staff for there professionalism in the situation and while leaving many staff were very kind and the food was very hot and fresh and I feel there work needed to be represented

Didn’t fulfil orders correctly. Looked busy so i took up with corporate. They provided no solution so just check your order before you leave. They are incorrect more than half the time, so this time was enough to make me bring it up.

This is probably the fastest McDonald’s to visit in Simi. Some are friendly, a couple definitely are not. They almost always get my order right. The only thing is that it looks like the patties are super thin, the size of the big Mac is so small now. The bread has less bread substance and more air so it just deflates. Prices went up and the size of the food went down.

I am just right out of church and drived to the nearest McDonald’s. Vance who helps take food from the counter and serve it to my table. They are very lucky they have such a great worker. I WILL COME AGAIN !
