The place was empty but it still took 35 minutes.
I was able to find 7 pieces of paneer in the thin gravy. Lid wasn’t put on right so it spilled everywhere, causing a huge mess.
Piece of Styrofoam was inside the gravy. And come on guys, rice is so cheap…..why skimp on the rice and only give you your customers the smallest styrofoam container of rice possible?!?
Not worth my total of around $23.00
While I was waiting and eating every other customer that came and went was Indian, to me this is always a good sign.
The food was spot on with flavor and portions… Right down to the small chunk of bone in my boneless chicken. I smiled so big the whole time. The Lassi was amazing too. If you have only experienced “American” Indian food you must stop here and experience this place. It is truely authentic India.
If you are American and have never traveled abroad don’t expect them to have everything on the menu available, don’t expect fully stocked fridge units, don’t expect what you get at a chain restaurant… However in trade you will get the chance to be transported to India for a short while.
The ONLY thing that is not authentic is everything was far to clean and well decorated.
I will be back…
Food: 5/5
Service: 2/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Overall: ★★★½

Finding an Indian restaurant in Wells, NV immediately caught my attention. While the exterior is fairly unassuming, those “hole-in-the-wall” spots often deliver the best food—and in this case, that proved true.
The food was excellent. The garlic naan was beautifully prepared and generously sized. I ordered the lamb vindaloo and requested it spicy. For most diners, the spice level would likely be just right, though I personally expected a bit more heat given the dish. That said, the flavor was outstanding and well balanced.
The interior was a pleasant surprise—clean, well maintained, and noticeably more inviting than the exterior suggests. One staff member, a light-haired woman, was friendly, attentive, and clearly helped keep things running smoothly.
Service, however, was inconsistent. When I arrived, no one was at the front counter, and it took a moment to realize there was a bell to ring. When a gentleman came out, the interaction felt brief and unwelcoming, with little communication or greeting. There may have been a language barrier, but it still came across as disengaged. After ordering and letting him know I was dining in, I was simply directed to the seating area.
The wait time was reasonable and absolutely worth it for the quality of the food. However, my order was incomplete: I did not receive the chutney or soda I had ordered. It wasn’t clear whether drinks were self-serve, so I chose not to assume. When paying, the other staff member was kind and helpful, and I made sure I wasn’t charged for the missing items.
Overall, the experience was positive largely because of how good the food was. With more consistent and welcoming service—and complete orders—this could easily be a 4- or even 5-star restaurant.
Recommendation: If you’re not easily put off by uneven service and genuinely enjoy good Indian food, this place is definitely worth a stop. I’ll likely be back for the food alone.
The food is rich in flavor and truly authentic—I ordered **butter chicken** and **garlic naan**, and it was one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in the U.S. The chicken was tender, the sauce perfectly spiced, and the naan fresh and crispy. We also tried **dal tadka** and **veg biryani**, both bursting with flavors and expertly seasoned.
The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with recommendations and ensure you have the best experience. The restaurant has a simple yet welcoming atmosphere, and the food more than makes up for it. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for lunch or dinner.
I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Indian meal in Nevada! 10/5
