The food, fortunately, holds up any day of the week. The pizza is among the best in town, with a properly made dough that instantly reminds you how sad most fast-food crusts actually are. Toppings are fresh and flavorful, and the artichoke salad might secretly be the star of the menu. Prices are little high though.
Service is exactly what you’d expect from a sports-side pizza joint. The servers arrive armed with jokes, ready to chat about where you’re from, who you’re rooting for, and to stir up a friendly, slightly macho, game-night atmosphere. It’s not fine dining, and it doesn’t pretend to be. Katie’s Pizza is at its best when the stadium lights are on, the game is playing, and you’re there for both the match and the meal.
Feedback, came in (very excited) for the Valentine’s Tasting Menu – but was told the beets and pasta were out
out — huge bummer. They ended up saying the beets came in (odd for a Sunday at 8pm, but ok). Also, I purchased a Katie’s gift card during the holidays and was told it was for Katie’s online food but not the restaurant which made no sense since the email from the gift card came through my email subscription to the restaurant.
We will come back for the stew alone so I don’t need to share!
Also staff is very friendly.
Only negative I can think of is limited dessert options if veg/gluten free. Like no sorbets?!? A flourless chocolate cake would be lovely please!
This establishment was recommended by the information specialist at the ARCH Jan Mueth !!
We asked for a quiet intimate table. We were seated in Phil’s section. We communicated our expectations for a slow relaxing dinner !
Phil was: easy going; not pushy; attentive; AMAZING.
Atmosphere : Very Nice
Food : we started with a bottle of wine !
We decided on a salad. Phil mentioned 2 could easily split the salad. ( great suggestion) Phil asked what we were thinking for a main course , we decided to split the bolognese, but did NOT want it coming out until after we’d finished the salad. Once finished I gave Phil the Hi sign , 5 minutes later the main course arrived. I asked Phil how’d they prepared it so fast. He said , “ It’s my job to pay attention to details. As you were getting close to finishing your salad , I put your dinner order in”
TIMIMG WAS PERFECT !
We enjoyed a desert, again recommended by Phil.
A waiter can make or break your experience!!
Phil executed the experience with perfection !!
In fairness, the place wasn’t packed yet. By 6pm it was getting pretty busy, making it hard for any waiter to meet expectations. Thankfully we got there early enough for Phil to shine !
Conclusion ; Food was delicious , Phil was amazing, for maximum enjoyment, come early.
The table setting was beautiful with fresh flowers, the server was friendly, and the appetizing mocktail completed our perfect brunch.
