Let me start with the bad, I ordered their French dip. The meat was incredibly dry, like it had been sitting awhile. Even with the aujou. It did not help, really a disappointment for me. I do think this may have been a one off. Because for the remainder of the food we had (party of four) everybody loved their food.

My wife and daughter had the breakfast dishes. They said it was delicious and they enjoyed it very much. Everything was cooked to order. The eggs were fresh. The bacon was crispy. You couldn’t ask for a better dish.

My son ordered the chicken sandwich, which he said was very tasty. Crispy batter and the chicken was well seasoned.

The restaurant is in a small strip mall. Fair amount of people walking in but still felt very homely. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Nice place to eat definitely will return. When we go to visit our daughter at UCSB? I just won’t be having the french dip.

Oh yeah, the service, quick service. Nice great experience loved it.

The cafe had really good food with indoor and outdoor seating. I am just not the biggest fan of the service.

I ordered the “Shrimp and Andouille Grits”. The shrimp and sausage were juicy and piping hot. It complemented the grits well.

Besides the food, I hesistate to come here again. Long waits between getting the menu and the order, waitress forgetting water, and a long time to get my CC back as well.

I visited Golata to check out Apeel Sciences. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street and saw Cakun Kitchen Cafe. Stopped jn fir a quick breakfast this morning. The staff was very polite and got us seated quickly. We had chicken and waffles, eggs, bacon, and home fries. We were in and out within an hr. Quick wash spot for breakfast and make sure to check out their omelets.

This place is amazing! All their workers were sweet and served us on time. They were always checking on us to make sure we were tended to. Just the best. The food is amazing It was my first time trying Seafood Gumbo, ever and it was the best. Pure comfort food! I also tried their beignets and those were hot, fresh, and fluffy. The cornbread with butter was also a hit. For the drink, I had a raspberry lemonade and that did not miss. Overall a great experience, I already can’t wait to go again!

Love this location of Cajun Kitchen. For me and my partner, this is our spot. The staff are lovely and they know us well. Even when we moved away we always had to eat here whenever we visited. It is currently undergoing a remodel but we are so excited to see it when it is completed! Gotta have their Fried Chicken Egg Benedict or Roz’s Omlette! Those are our go – to options and they never disappoint. Although, everything on the menu is delicious, you cannot go wrong.

In town for work, looking for a good eggs bennie! This was a pretty good experience, definitely affordable compared to most places around here. Our service was very good, nothing to complain about!

I would definitely say the eggs bennie was FAR from traditional haha, it had a MUCH different flavor than you expect from a hollandaise – but it was still pretty tasty! Eggs were cooked perfect

My only complaint was that the potatoes were pretty underdone lol. Like very undercooked, hard and grainy… not amazing lol

I may come here again next time I’m in town, but I would probably stick to a classic like bacon and eggs lol.

Wow, what a great find! The chicken chilaquiles were so good, as was the omelette my wife had. We both shared the beignets and were pleasantly surprised; they were fresh, light and fluffy, which came with a side of syrup. Their coffee wasn’t bad either. I’d personally advise against the biscuits; they resembled dense dinner rolls more than biscuits unfortunately. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot; we look forward to visiting again the next time we are in town.

Very good Cajun food. The biscuit was amazing and overshadowed the meal I got (the jambalaya). Overall, they put some good dishes together, and the service is fast and attentive.
