C’est magnifique! Knowing the owner hails from the South West of France, you can really feel the authentic pedigree at Le Bouchon.
The food was so delicious that the four of us had serious food envy! The wine pairings were parfait, but the winners were definitely the Scallops and the Boeuf Bourguignon.
A huge thank you to Melanie, our server—she was full of energy and looked after us perfectly. Merci beaucoup, we will be back!

The ambience and service here is always on point. The desserts here are unbeatable, always tough to choose. Unfortunately the medium rare eye fillet itself wasn’t the best, seemed tough and dry so was the only let down, sauce and everything else was lovely. Would highly recommend overall

Great dining. Food was delicious (the bread was delicious) and the service was very good. Our waitress although young was very knowledgeable and was attentive. We will be back when in the area.

Such a lovely restaurant. We had a wonderful lunch here. Highlights were the scallops, the confit duck and the desserts. Nice wine list too. A fine blend of local and French wines. Absolutely loved our dinner at Le Bouchon. The entrées were incredible – the freshest oysters I’ve had in ages and a perfectly rich French onion soup topped with that irresistible cheesy bread. We shared the 1.2kg steak cooked to perfection, a flawless medium rare, and it was spot on. The whole atmosphere captured that warm, authentic French bistro vibe — cozy, charming, and full of character. Highly recommend for anyone craving a true French dining experience right here in Balnarring. Plenty of free parking around.

We ate here on an evening in May 2025. The food was incredible. We had a beautiful bottle of French wine. The atmosphere was great. The decor feels like you’re in France. The service was fantastic and while our bill was really expensive it was worth every cent!

A lovely relaxed bistro with friendly and attentive staff. Crusty bread and a varied local and French wine list. The poitrine de porc was the most tender and delicious pork belly ever and the Grand Marinier crepes suzettes a perfect dessert. Will definitely return – bravo a tous!
