Was visiting St Joseph from Texas and were told to make the 20 minute drive to try the chicken. The chicken was amazing, full of flavor and juicy. The green beans with bacon were also really good. The sweet tea is very much southern sweet tea. And I had the blackberry cobbler for dessert which I have to say was some of the best that I ever had. Well worth the drive each direction and lots of farm scenery. We will be back to try some of their other specials when we are in town.

Gina catered my wedding and did a fantastic job with the taco buffet. We got a lot of positive comments on the food. We were dealing with a number of VIP’s with dietary constraints, and Gina was meticulous about making sure they could safely enjoy the buffet. She was very pleasant to work with.

I had heard of the place but never went, then went tonight to support a fundraiser they were doing for a local theatre group.
Chicken was amazing. Breast was super juicy and great flavor. Green beans with bacon was delicious and their mashed potatoes with gravy was excellent.
My daughter and I agreed it was very good and we should bring the rest of the family back up.

We went for our Valentine’s dinner. So glad we went!
Didn’t get pictures of our dinner because we were so hungry, but it’s the best fried chicken we’ve had in ages. I don’t know how she makes the dinner rolls but they melt in your mouth.
Very affordable for the quality and quantity we received. My husband was pleased they serve beer, wine, and cocktails.

Gina’s is incredible. Excellent food and service! This week I had the privilege of enjoying two catered meals from Gina’s – the prime rib was impeccable and fried chicken and mashed potatoes were also delicious as always. Desserts were divine… I enjoyed carrot cake one evening and cheesecake with an amazing homemade cherry topping the other. A recent remodel has transformed Gina’s Cafe from a crowded retro diner into a trendy, spacious, modern restaurant! Great place to rent out for a group, too! Thank you Gina and staff for going above and beyond! Your cafe is a hidden treasure in the little town of Cosby!

Not up to what I was told. Had the fried chicken. But was upcharged for getting mixed. The chicken was good and fresh. Had the chocolate black forest cake with cherry ‘s. The cake was hard as a rock and the cherries was nothing more than can cherry pie filling. The server was great. One little scoop of ice cream for a buck fifty was a little much. What happened to the fried chicken buffet that was outstanding. Just a plain chocolate cake with cherrys would have been ten times better. The server and chicken earned the three stars

We checked this out on a night they were serving fried chicken. Their food was fabulous! It is a fairly small place, but we seized the opportunity to invite two other couples to share our table and had a great visit. We also learned from them. We learned to order a fabulous dessert with our meal or we wouldn’t get one at all. The desserts are homemade and delicious! The service was above average, and Gina was very hospitable.
