* Service was delightful and the staff was very informative and charismatic! (We had Simone and loved her!) Everything was served quickly and plates were cleared just as quickly. This made the staff very accessible for questions, plus the “call waitstaff” button on the tablet was available.
* The food was good. We both got the house chicken broth as our soup base. It was flavorful but a touch salty, this was much better after we added some ingredients and additional bone broth. After that, it was perfect.
* Our previous experiences hot-potting were at larger restaurants and so we were a little disappointed at the limited options especially with the veggies, however what they did do, they did well. We wished for more varied meat options but did notice that their seafood selection was more extensive with mussels, scallops and prawns. We didn’t try any this time but will unext time! Everything was fresh and ingredients were of quality. Our favorites were the enoki mushrooms, the rolled tofu skin, and the pork belly.
* We had read reviews about wait time and planned to arrive when they opened and were not surprised to find that we were not the only ones with that plan. Within a few minutes of being seated, most of the tables were full and we witnessed quite a few people wait for tables. Hotpot tends to be a longer meal; we were there for an hour and a half. Planning ahead and keeping this in mind is highly recommended!
* This is great option for people who are new to hotpot but if your experience is larger, more established restaurants from other cities, you may be looking for more variety. Overall we are super excited to have a hotpot option in Portland and are excited to go again the next time we are there.(We are located in Bangor.)

We had a great dinner there tonight, and it was worth the wait! The staff is super friendly, and the food comes out fast once you order. We had both the mild and spicy broths with an assortment of meats and veggies. I’d love to see more gluten-free options for appetizers, but I have zero complaints about our meal – it was delicious, and we’ll be back! However, you should be prepared to wait for a table at dinnertime if you don’t get there early.

Overall was okay! Came at 6:20pm on a Friday night to put our name down for a party of 2, wait time was 2hr. Service was really great, Simone was super helpful with explaining how to order everything.

We got the Mala spicy broth. It was watered down and not spicy for my friend and I so we got the beef fat for more spice (+$8). It added flavor but no spice. We’re both used to eating spicy Asian food so maybe that’s why we felt nothing? Not a lot of vegetable options but enough meat options.

I would give this place another chance in the far future when things are more figured out.

so yummy!! they’re still working out the kinks of table scheduling and reservations, but its worth the wait. definitely a more elevated hot pot experience with higher prices, but the ingredients are very fresh and high quality. the broths are extremely flavorful and i like that you can order from the tablet on your table. staff were all very kind. i wish you could add yourself to the waitlist online or could make reservations for 2-4 people. will definitely be back! its the perfect date night dinner. still thinking about the spicy broth with the beef tallow combo! the handmade dumplings are delicious, highly recommend!!

20 out of 10 experience! Fantastic atmosphere! Amazing food! Wonderful service! No other hot pot can compare to this amazing place. Authentic food. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant owner and her ability to take her home and bring it to the wonderful old port. We will be back and tell everyone about it

Absolutely loved this hot pot restaurant. The chicken broth and mala spicy broth were both exceptional—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. A great hot pot starts with a solid base, and they clearly understand that, which is why they stand out. All of the ingredients were fresh and high quality, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. The dessert was amazing. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully done. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

As a hot pot lover, I’ve tried multiple places. This place is the next level, and I personally don’t know if I can go to any other place again.. we went all out and ate about 4 days worth of food in one sitting.. it was only about $70/person but mind you we got A LOT of meat and seafood.. staff were amazing, food and atmosphere were 10/10. You can tell the owner is passionate about having high quality ingredients which I love. Pricing is wonderful for a hot pot, and the most common question people have is the wait time.. let me just say I stayed at the Holiday Inn right down the road for a few days (5 minute walk) and there really is no predicting the slow times, we waited an hour and ten minutes for our table, by the end of our dinner people who were walking in were getting an average of two hour wait time. The next day it was quick. My best advice is to plan as if it will take about an hour for your table (walk around and shop, maybe get a drink at their bar while you wait, etc.) If you have the time, it is well worth the wait, and you also may just get lucky and walk in at a slow time 🙂

Ambience was lovely. Food was DELICIOUS. Waitstaff was so kind. I wish they had more veggie options, but we got meat & crab — it was delightful! Bonus: Restrooms were so tidy! Will definitely be coming back.

nice winter spot. the food was pretty good and they offer a decent selection of fillings. but as a vegetarian, i wish they offered more than one broth option as the only one available is insanely spicy. it was good but i would at least like the ability to have another broth choice, one that won’t burn a hole in my stomach. this is probably the only reason i wouldn’t go back.

other feedback from my friends; “sauce bar” was lacking with only 2 options and no soy sauce.

yes you order on an ipad, but the wait staff seemed very bothered if you asked them for help or a question.
