Our whole group loved this restaurant so much! We were a party of 8 and it took them no time to get us sat & served. We ordered a hand full of the appetizers to start and they were all very good. I had the fish of the day (blackened grouper) and hubs had the fish tacos- both were absolutely perfect. The food and cocktails were all DELICIOUS and the staff and owner were so sweet and accommodating! It’s also perfectly located just a short walk to the pier & some really cute shops. Can’t wait to come back and visit. Definitely recommend this spot!

Visited for my birthday. Had to book via reservation in advance. Great service and good food. The jambalaya was great but did a number on my stomach the next day. The tempura shrimp was good if a bit soggy. I didn’t care for the hush puppies, they were covered with sugar. The fish and chips were great. The drinks (we had the orange and watermelon crushes) were pretty standard.
Nice place and they treated me to a free piece of chocolate birthday cake. It was a little on the pricey end however.

High-End Dining: Incredible Food, Inadequate Portions:
While I had hoped for a special dining experience with Hook and Vine, the combination of underwhelming portion sizes and high cost left my family and me feeling disappointed. Ultimately, our frustration stems from the disconnect between the premium prices and the portion sizes we received. This review is in no way meant to criticize the restaurant’s quality, but rather to point out a clear issue between what folks pay for and what is received. The grilled chicken Caesar wrap I ordered was quite underwhelming. While the flavor of the ingredients was on point—the chicken was cooked well and the dressing had a nice tang—the overall execution was disappointing. The wrap was surprisingly small, and the filling was sparse, leaving it feeling empty and not very substantial. In addition to lack of chicken wrap I had, the portion size of the fries that came with each meal were also disappointing. I understand that higher-end restaurants mean higher quality ingredients but 12 to 15 fries weigh approximately 3 ounces. This is well below the average of 6 to 7 ounces that are generally served at high-end restaurants. This all may seem trivial but prior to this review, a simple Google search on this topic showed Im not the first to voice my concern when it comes to comparing the portion size to the price so hopefully this will be addressed but sadly I know it probably wont. Thank you for your time.

Our reservations were for 5:30 on valentines, we arrived at 5:25 and were happy to be seated a few minutes early as they were not busy. That’s where the good stops. We finally received our appetizer at 6:20 so almost an hour since we were sat. Our waitress disappeared and we were never checked on aside from us finally asking someone for more bread for our then cold crab dip. We waited some more and finally requested our dinner to go at 7 pm. The manager came over and assured us our meal was next up and offered nothing but a free dessert for our ridiculous wait and frustration. She personally brought us “our meal” and mentioned she threw in a gluten free dessert since we asked for no bread. Thankfully that clued us to check the meals we received because we didn’t ask for no bread. Sure enough they had given us someone else’s food. Which they then took back to the kitchen, plated and served the couple next to us. Finally we just requested to pay for the crab dip we had and left. They charged us for the extra bread offered NO reconciliation after and we will never return. It’s a shame the food is great we regularly order take out but the service has ensured we will not return.

We were a group of 9 friends who met for lunch at the Hook & Vine. This is a nice, cozy restaurant, close to the Bay. It’s very popular with the locals as the food is good and the service excellent. We ordered a plate of Devilled Eggs to share and they were quite delicious. For the main entree, I got the Shrimp and Grits (one of my favorite southern dishes), several friends ordered the crab cake platter, a couple got the Jambalaya, and a couple got the Barramundi. The portions are very generous and we enjoyed our selection very much. I have been to this restaurant a few times and wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again. 2 Thumbs up.

A Fb Friend recommendation!!! went to this place for a nice date out on an amazing day. North Beach is new to me so I was looking at my surroundings of beautiful houses and the views of the water with every turn just about. The place/vibe was chill , not too tight and compact but enough seats for a party of Six-8 .Kelly was our waitress and a server assistant both were very nice, other servers were suggestive Next time I’m getting the bbq rubbed Mahi Mahi !!.. We ordered the Crab Dip which was ABSOLUTELY hot, Worth It, delicious, packed with so much flavor and the cheese to crab ratio is PERFECT!! THEE BEST IVE EVER HAD. The Pretzel bread which I’ve never seen in all of my crab dip ordering is so soft pull apart was good!… I ordered the 12oz THICK Bourbon Peach glazed pork chop, 2 sides I chose were the house salad and mashed potatoes. The Bf got the Jambalaya and Caesar side salad. Trying to kick my dark soda habit got water he’s being supportive and got the same!. Unbeknownst to him He was bought out a birthday dessert! Beignets!!! with strawberry letters. They were so warm fluffy and divinely delicious!! it was his first time having one and knowing what it was . So thank you for making his experience a good one for dessert!. The Staff was so nice and friendly, the food was seasoned and full of flavor. The Pretzel Bread was soo good got some to take home! My mom Looooved it and the crab dip too!! This is a fantastic little restaurant located near the beach. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the Spicy Peach Margarita was really good. They offer a wide selection of food and drinks. It’s recommended to make reservations for larger parties. We will definitely return to try more items from the menu. The cost for a family of four was under $100.

A new favorite! I’m not a Maryland native and recently moved here. I took the drive down to North Beach and found this restaurant. Hands down one of the best dine in experiences I’ve had. Our server was an absolute sweetheart and gave top-tier service. The bartender means business with their amazing cocktails (I had the Oh Honey! this time, and would come back even just for drinks). The chef in the back DESERVE their flowers, especially with top-tier dishes. FRESH ingredients, WELL SEASONED, and cooked to perfection! As simple as a fish sandwich was THE best fish sandwich I’ve ever had ( I was a pescatarian for many years prior). My partner also tried the jambalaya and DEVOURED it. Lastly, props on the decor. If they had a restaurant decorating contest, Hooks & Vine would get blue ribbon!

Ruined our Valentine’s Day dinner. We got a baby sitter and dressed up nice and received our app after 45 min. After hour of waiting and not seeing our server since she took our order, I asked if we could take our entree to go at that point. They finally brought the wrong food to the table bagged up. Then took it back and re served it to the table next to us. And offered a piece of cake to make up for it. We paid for our crab dip full price as well as our extra 2 pieces of bread and decided to never contribute another dollar to this poorly ran establishment. Ended the night with McDonalds just to fill our stomachs. Thank you for nothing Hook and Vine.
