Charming breakfast joint with good food and super friendly service. Handful of hightop tables and seats along the bar. Caught the Saturday brunch rush and things were a little slow, but not bad at all. Fried bread pudding bites are rich and wonderful, a must try! Great churro and maple lattes, perfectly aromatic and flavorful without overdoing the cinnamon or maple. Avocado toast on their house white bread was fantastic, especially loved the bacon and cheese. Breakfast sandwich pretty standard, but very good, especially on one of their maple sage bagels! Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast special stole the show, expertly executed, a wonderful contrast of soft and rich French Toast with its crunchy coating.

Maple & Marley hands down 10/10! We were welcomed by Brittany upon arriving. We ordered Churro Lattes with cold foam since there was a little wait (10/10) . It’s an open kitchen so it was nice to see the cooks maintain the cleanliness and food safety practices. I noticed the hand washing and changing gloves regularly (Thank you!). Savannah was pleasant and gave us a great experience! It was busy, but the team crushed that rush! The Recovery bowl was delicious and a hefty portion. We will be back!

First time here. The atmosphere was small and qaint, which I like. The service was nice, and hostess was able to answer ALOT of questions, very sweet. The food and drinks were good. We were just full from the appetizers alone. I had the breakfast scramble and the flavors were bursting. I had to bring back home, couldn’t finish it all. I will be back!!

We were so excited for a new breakfast spot to open in Grassfield and we were not disappointed! The adults in the party had delicious iced vanilla lattes and our waitress made the perfect kid temp hot chocolate for our little one. The southwest bagel sandwich and breakfast wrap were great and filling. We will definitely be returning!

Finally made it to Maple and Marley for breakfast yesterday and everything was AMAZING! The food, service and atmosphere were all on point! Brendan was our server and was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Dean was cooking and we had The Spicy Bird, Potato Nachos and the Spread Trio and while it was too much food for the two of us, it was hard to stop eating because everything was so good! Our favorite cream cheese of the three we tried was veggie. They all tasted so fresh! I also had a cocktail, I’m not sure what it was called on the menu, but it was an espresso martini type drink an it was beautiful and delicious! Can’t wait to make it back in to try some more menu items!

Maple and Marley is located on Grassfield Pkwy in Chesapeake. My retired math teacher group decided to try it as our monthly eat and chat option at the recommendation of one of the members, who ate there during restaurant week. Parking was easy since the restaurant is located in a shopping center. We were quickly seated, and given time to look over the menu options. The person who recommended this site noticed what she had ordered on her first visit, a breakfast bowl with potatoes, sausage and eggs, was not an option on the menu, but that is often the case with restaurant week offerings. One ordered a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. While she said it tasted fine, I was surprised at how poorly it was presented on the plate… with no garnish to dress it up a bit . Two of us ordered the Rise ‘n Shine, two eggs, meat, potatoes or grits and toast. I opted for grits (which were delicious), bacon and wheat toast. The bacon was limp, and almost cold, and the wheat toast was burned on the edges and in places on one side. I ate it, but the meal was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. Another of us selected sausage, and halfway through the meal she mentioned that her sausage patty tasted like a hamburger. We pointed that out to our server, and she said all the sausage was made in house, and that it was definitely sausage that most people raved about. I didn’t feel comfortable at that point mentioning my cold bacon and burned toast. The meal wasn’t a disaster, but I doubt that I will return.

Super great breakfast! I had the Lox bagel and it was delicious oh my goodness. My mom had their special “The Belgian Sunrise” and honestly it didn’t last long on her plate. We all inhaled our food over how good and comforting it was. The vibes are so relaxing and chic. Definitely my new breakfast spot. Our server was super sweet and caring. Everything 10/10 !!

Love the new local breakfast and coffee bar! Nothing else like it in the area. They have an incredible espresso machine so you know the coffee drinks are on point! I love that they have an open kitchen so you can see the dishes are home made. I had a breakfast wrap and an asiago cheese bagel, they are both meals I will be ordering again. Something to note: if you need a highchair the dining area is mainly high top tables with 2 booths so you may have to wait for a booth to open.
Additionally there is plenty of parking and it is in an easy to get to location conveniently located off of Grassfield Parkway.
Absolutely love the new addition to our area!

Sunday, November 9, 2025, we had the pleasure of visiting Maple & Marly Breakfast Bar, and let me tell you — this place is a GEM. When we first walked in, I thought it was going to be a small, mom-and-pop style spot, and it definitely had that intimate and inviting vibe. I love trying new restaurants, but I’m also a little old-school when it comes to my food — I like my eggs to taste like eggs, you know? So I was a little skeptical at first.
I ordered the Hangover Cure Scramble, which includes country potatoes topped with bacon, sausage, ham, bell peppers, onions, eggs (any style), sausage gravy, and cheddar cheese. I asked for my gravy and eggs on the side because I like to portion my food (don’t judge me ). I also got a blueberry bagel on the side.
My husband ordered the Chicken & Waffles, and bread pudding to go. We also ordered the Manmosa and the Creamsicle cocktail. I’m normally not a creamsicle fan, but that drink was spot on. Perfect balance — sweet, refreshing, and smooth.
Now back to the food — AMAZING.
The country potatoes were evenly cooked with the peppers, and I usually don’t care for country ham, but the way everything blended together made it flavorful without being salty. The bacon was perfectly crisp, and the sausage in the gravy had that homemade taste — fresh and seasoned well. My eggs were cooked exactly how I requested (over hard), and the gravy stayed hot for dipping.
But let me talk about that blueberry bagel for a second…
I thought it was store-bought — baby, I was FOOLED.
It was fresh, soft, and tasted delicious… especially dipped in that gravy. Every bite was chef’s kiss.
My husband wanted to try some, but he doesn’t eat pork… and I’ll be honest… I wasn’t planning on sharing anyway. Don’t tell him.
Now, this part meant a lot to us:
My husband was concerned about cross-contamination since he doesn’t eat pork. Christian, our waitress, was absolutely AMAZING. She let us know that the chefs could cook his meal in a separate pan to make sure there were no worries about pork touching anything. That kind of care and accommodation goes a long way. Not every restaurant is willing to do that.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles. The host made sure we were comfortable, brought menus, and checked on us until Christian came over. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming — the kind of service that makes you want to come back.
I couldn’t finish my entire meal and brought the rest home. I reheated it the next morning with my coffee and it STILL tasted just as good. That’s when you know everything is truly fresh.
If you are in the Grassfield area — or honestly, even if you’re not — I highly recommend stopping by.
Fresh food, great atmosphere, and amazing service.
I will definitely be returning — and next time, I’m bringing family and friends with me.
See y’all there soon! ✨
