Great place to spot in for a bite and drink! Absolutely amazing bartenders and staff. Food 10/10 and the drinks will make you return. Come try the steak tips! (shown in the photo) FANTASTIC. Will be back more than expected. Don’t tell my wife.

Great neighborhood spot with very friendly bartenders and servers. The steak tips are amazing. Lots of different food offerings and the bartenders are very talented, making all kinds of interesting concoctions. Plenty of TV screens to watch your favorite sports teams. Parking is tuff but worth a trip around the block if needed. Highly recommended for the total pub experience!

My favorite bar to go to for games or even just to chill. Both the staff and owner are peaches and beyond sweet. The food is crazy good with huge portions and unbeatable prices. Highly recommend! Our favorites were the nacho tray which was under 20 bucks and their espresso martini tower.

Food Review: Paddy Kelly’s – Peabody, MA

If you’re looking for classic bar food done right, Paddy Kelly’s at 154 Washington St, Peabody, MA, is a must-visit. From giant margarita towers to loaded nachos and hearty burgers, this spot delivers on both flavor and value. Whether you’re out with friends or family, it’s the kind of place where you can kick back, indulge, and enjoy some solid comfort food in a no-frills setting.

The Must-Have Dishes
Kitchen Sink Nacho Tray ($17.95) – An absolute steal! This massive tray of nachos is loaded with grilled chicken, chili, tomatoes, onions, black olives, and jalapeños, served with salsa and sour cream. Easily feeds four people and is hands-down worth coming back for. 9/10
Buffalo Chicken Sandwich ($14.95) – Crispy buffalo chicken with just the right amount of heat, paired with cool bleu cheese. If you’re hunting for a great Buffalo chicken sandwich near Medford or Boston (seriously, where are the good ones?), this is a solid contender. 9/10
Smokehouse Burger ($14.95) – Stacked with BBQ sauce, bacon, an onion ring, and pepper jack cheese, it was a good burger, but honestly, the onion rings stole the show. Cooked perfectly crisp— which so many places mess up! 7/10

Hit or Miss
Steak & Cheese Egg Rolls ($14.95) – Filled with shaved steak and served with buffalo ranch for dipping, these had great flavor but were just way too greasy. 6/10
Pizza – Undercooked, but decent for the price. If you’re looking for a great pizza, this isn’t the spot. 5/10

Drinks: The Real Star
Margarita Tower – Absolutely massive and perfect for sharing. You can’t go wrong with this one!
☕ Giant Espresso Martinis – If you’re a fan of espresso martinis, they go big here—definitely worth trying.

Final Verdict
If you want a true Boston dive bar experience, this is it. No frills, just solid food and strong drinks at a great price. Come for the drinks and nachos!

– Food: 7/10 on the bar food scale.
– Affordability: 8/10
– Ambiance: 5/10 (It’s a dive bar—if you want a true Boston experience, come here!)
– Overall: 7/10

Had the steak tips dinner last week at the bar and they were very tender and flavorful; portion was generous. Enjoyed conversations with others at the bar. A darts tournament was going on and it was the quietest type of tournament I’ve ever seen. Was told that’s darts etiquette. Wished there was a larger craft beer selection with less bitter, more balanced IPAs. Younger staff’s service was nice and polite but not 5-star.

Food was very salty. Meatballs-all you can taste is salt. Potatoe wedges too thin, less than 1/4 inch thick, and salty. $17 hamburger tough.Waited too long to order food. No parking. On street only. Music too loud. Plenty of TV screens, but forget about hearing them. Drinking bar, not good place too eat.

The restaurant was extremely busy, and it appeared that only two servers were on staff. The two-star rating is not a reflection of their effort. They worked hard and did the best they could under the circumstances.

That said, staffing at this level during peak volume is a management decision, and it negatively impacted the experience.

My larger concern was safety. The space felt crowded well beyond a comfortable or reasonable level. It was standing room only, and exiting required squeezing past and making physical contact with multiple patrons. This raised serious concerns about whether the venue was operating within fire code capacity.

Unfortunately, I’ll probably not be back.

The pub offers a laid-back and informal atmosphere, with a variety of music playing in the background. The drinks were both delicious and generously sized. The French fries nacho was served with a generous amount of toppings, more than enough to satisfy four people.
