The best veg burger I’ve had since I don’t know when! The KA fries were drool worthy and the jalapeño mayo was excellent! Coffee was good. vibe was warm with local charm.
*pain point for me was that they write on the chalk board ‘no wifi = family time’ but as someone who dined solo and knows no one here, I would have greatly appreciated the wifi :/ . My cell had no service in the older building.

I was looking for a quick bite after my coastal drive, and this worked out well. I wasn’t starving, but saw on their menu that they had a small burger, which was exactly what I wanted. I ordered curly fries, and the meal really hit the spot! The waitress was lovely, and my food came quickly.

Went to Backwoods burger with my family today while in the area for a hockey tournament. The food was hands down 10/10 . Burger was fresh and so flavourful the bun was soft but not soggy and the fries were fresh and the perfect amount of crispy . The customer service was out of this world , after having spent all of my change on canteen treats for my kiddos I was down to the last few dimes. They have the coolest little sticker vending machine with backwoods burger paraphernalia and my kids were dying to grab a sticker of their cool spot but I was fresh out of loonies ! The waitress so casually approached my two kiddos while they were checking the stickers out and overheard we’d spent our last handfuls of change at the rink and put her own change into the machine for a sticker for each of them . My kids could not get over how kind this waitress was and that she’d most likely spent $4 of her tip money on two stickers . I will 100% be back and already craving another delicious burger !!

Tried this place on a recommendation from someone else. It was excellent. Very tasty. Would recommend it to anyone. We just walked in but there were a lot of tables were reserved. Several parties were turned away while we were eating.

We had no plans to have a burger on our trip but a dam in Tyne Valley distracted us as we decided to give it a go. It was the right choice. The burgers were fresh, airy (don’t know how) and filling. The bun was delightful and the decorations made us smile. Highly recommend.

It was my birthday on February 7 and my daughter and grand children took me there for dinner. The food was amazing. The service was impeccable. I don’t usually leave reviews for places. But everything about our meal and service was so incredible l had to leave a review. Thank you to everyone there for making my birthday special.

Really fantastic burger place in a charming, former general store. Very friendly service. Between us we had fish tacos and a fish sandwhich/burger. Both were delicious. Nice local beer selection as well. Highly recommended!

Loved the fun drinks and great meal. The decor was unique, fun, and relaxed. Superb service. The kids had creative juice drinks topped with freeze dried candy (Skittles and Jolly Ranchers), my Adam Eve and Steve cocktail was fabulous, and hubby liked his beer (and had to buy a glass). Kids and hubby enjoyed their burgers, my spicy clucker was on point. The poutine was yummy.
