The food was Deliciously Awesome and plenty of it! We went Sunday after church for the Brunch menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the entrées that I ordered: catfish and grits and gumbo omelet with home fried potatoes. I was looking for something different besides the usual cheese omelet. I am so glad I chose the gumbo omelet! Definitely did Not disappoint. I will be returning to try the apple cobbler French toast as well as the bourbon braised short ribs and grits that a friend of mine tried and was very pleased with it.

Wanted to try this place for my husband’s birthday. It’s small. Music was nice. Not many people there at all for a Thursday night. Welcomed as soon as we arrived. Fatima, our server, was very nice and attentive. All of the food and drinks were good. I would give more stars for the food BUT I ordered lamb chops and only received one and half… LITERALLY. You can’t charge over $40 for a lamb chop dinner and not even give 3 or 4. One was a normal size chop and the other was the size of a quarter. Other than that, we would return but just be careful because if you want lamb chops, it won’t be worth the money.

Essie’s is one of those underrated spots that deserves way more attention. We’ve ordered from there plenty of times, but recently started dining in and the experience has been just as good, if not better.
The atmosphere is great, good music, relaxed vibe, and the place is always clean. The staff is friendly and attentive without hovering, and every visit has been consistent. No long waits for a table, and the space is wheelchair friendly which I really appreciate. Perfect location to hold an event.
The drinks are excellent and the food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My personal favorites are the poached peach salad with salmon, the salmon is cooked perfectly every time, and the crab deviled eggs. Honestly though, you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

Came Friday evening at 9pm and made reservations just to be safe.
We got there and the place was pretty empty. It had us a bit concerned, but it was for no reason.
We had an amazing server, Diana who provided us with amazing suggestions for food and drinks. For drinks we started with a peach tequila lemon drop and a mango long island. We later ordered another peach tequila and a blueberry tequila lemon drop. You can not go wrong with the flavored tequila lemon drops and they have candy at the bottom.
We had the shrimp deviled eggs, which were not bad at all. The shrimps were still hot, the egg cream in the middle was good but the cold egg through me off. But it was still good.
For our meals we ordered blacked salmon, with sweet potatoes and kale. It was suggested to try the steak meal with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. My partner raved over her meal and really enjoyed the kale to her surprise. The steak meal was a great suggestions. Cooked perfectly, and plenty of flavor.
Although pretty much dead inside (they were also closing soon) Diana told us that Thuraday they were packed due to the live band and on Wednesday they have karaoke. She was even surprised that they didn’t have many customers but said they had been packed the evening before.
I was not disappointed by this place and I’m happy I have something close that taste good and has excellent service.

Added to the rotation of restaurants. The food was AMAZING. The braised kale is top notch, haven’t had kale this good in a long time. I don’t usually get bread pudding but this one right here melts in Yo mouth. Our waitress Diana was a delight and very knowledgeable. DJ Wheelz was rocking the good tunes. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere was relaxing. Highlights: kale, salmon, Essie’s fries and bread pudding.

It’s Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) so we had to find some New Orleans cuisine. This place was outstanding ! We shared the pear salad which was scrumptious and enough for two. I had to have the seafood gumbo which was amazing. Hubby ordered the chicken Alfredo and said that was also delicious. Our server, Khailyn, was so attentive and friendly. She even served us a complimentary drink and hush puppies which we thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back

This place is nice. The food was delicious. There was live entertainment for a very short time. Now the wait to get our food was outrageous! I dont know if they weren’t prepared for the Valentine’s Day crowd but getting food took over two hours. It was a set menu so im not sure what the hold up was. The hostess tried her best to check on everyone and keep things flowing. They offered no discount or drink or anything for the wait. Our reservation was at 7:30pm we received our food at 10:00pm
