From the moment we stepped into Bruce’s Place, it was clear that the service was going to be a highlight of the evening. We were welcomed upon entering and met with smiles from all the staff.
Our server, Rachel, was attentive without being intrusive. They had an in-depth knowledge of the menu and made several thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. The pacing of the meal was perfect—each course arrived at just the right time, allowing us to savor every bite without feeling rushed. She is by far the most amazing server I have ever had the pleasure to be served by not just in Ellensburg but everywhere. She was amazing and made the evening dinner great. I was so impressed by the attention to detail I raved about it to my mother and took her the next chance possible and the service was top tier as well!
What truly stood out was the personalized touch in every interaction and the to go boxes had the name of the food we ordered, date, and a note from Rachel and Bruce’s place as a whole. The service wasn’t just efficient—it was genuinely warm and welcoming, and that made the entire experience so much more memorable. It’s rare to find a restaurant where service feels so seamlessly integrated into the dining experience. I left feeling not only satisfied with the meal but genuinely appreciative of the outstanding service. If you’re looking for a place this is by far one of my most favorite places in town.

From reading past reviews, I would like to make sure this is constructive criticism. We ordered the fried burrata and it was flavorless, we had to add a good amount of salt and pepper. Drinks were good but last call was an hour before closing – a bit strange. As a frequent flyer at Bruce’s I was excited to try a new menu item, but this was not it. We enjoy the camaraderie with the staff but from past conversations with them seems that management has lacking. Wishing you nothing but the best, good luck on their endeavors!

The sour funky smell is back. I don’t know what makes that bar so hard to clean. Shrinkflation is apparently in full effect. The Porch (next door) currently offers calamari that kicks Bruce’s butt on price, quantity, quality, and value

Service was sub par while food was great. Bread thrown onto table, wine spilled, a plate served across someone to the next person over with an elbow towards the face, didnt provide a kids menu till asked, didnt ask each person if they wanted a new drink and food was SLOW to arrive. They also crammed 6 people onto a 4 person table. Dont do 6:30 on a Friday.

I haven’t been to Pasta Co./ Bruce’s since the ownership changed. I have to admit the rumors I’ve been hearing about declining quality were true. Bruce’s place (the bar area) smelled like month+ old dirty rags, this is an easy fix, change the water regularly and add some bleach. We sat outside, and the tables weren’t wiped down. The service is still fine and the food hasn’t changed much (although I had a salad, so maybe the quality of other menu items has). I want Pasta Co to be successful, but with a stanky back room, and poor cleaning, I just don’t see how that’s going to be feasible. I’ll probably go back one more time for a burger, but if the cleaning is as bad as it was on this trip, next time might be my last.

We stopped here for dinner but restaurant was super busy. They set up space outside with heaters and blankets for us, which turned out to be a great experience. Food was one of the best Italian food we ate. We were contemplating Olive Garden vs this and this was hands down the best one. We are Indian vegetarian family and never saw so many vegetarian options in Seattle area in Italian restaurant. Service was awesome as well
