First visit. I had the Chimichurri Steak and Bacon sandwich.
Very good sandwich, steak was a little chewy, with only one small piece of gristle.
Liked all the trimmings, especially the peppers and onion jam. Served on a good sesame roll.
My order was take away, had to wait 45 minutes before eating, and I would think that the sandwich would have been better had I eaten it in the store.

I always love Mendo, especially their limited items they bring in seasonally. They’re creative and taste amazing! This time, I ordered the southern potato salad to go, and got a different side salad instead. 🙁
Update: 3 ⭐ to 5 ⭐. They asked for me to reach out, but I really don’t need anything, just the right order. I should have also checked the bag before leaving. I know they get it right 99.9% of the time, and that’s why I always recommend them to family and friends that haven’t tried Mendo yet.

This time ordered Mendocino’s Chef Specials, Spicy Calabrian Turkey Focaccia, please warned that it’s really spicy but it’s really good
Probably the first time I enjoy the tenderness of turkey this much, with the combination of pickled red peppers and arugula, strongly recommend it if you can take the heat of spicy sandwich .

Kyle A. was absolutely awesome at Mendocino Farms! He helped me find a great option to take on my flight and really went above and beyond. He took his time explaining the pros and cons of different items and was incredibly patient and kind throughout the process. If you’re in the area, be sure to give him a shoutout – you won’t be disappointed. And on top of that, the food is amazing!

I visited Mendocino Farms for lunch and ordered the “Not So Fried” Chicken sandwich with a side of tangy mustard barbeque sauce. The sandwich was delicious and filling, with crispy chicken, herb aioli, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, and pickled red onions on a soft ciabatta bread. The sauce added a nice kick to the sandwich and complemented the flavors well.
The place has a nice environment with plenty of seating options, both indoor and outdoor. It is located next to UCI, which makes it convenient for students and faculty. The service was friendly and fast, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
They also have a variety of other sandwiches, salads, and soups to choose from, as well as local craft beers and wine. I noticed they have a Kids Eat Free promotion on Thursdays, which is a great deal for families. I also saw they have a Peruvian Steak sandwich that looked tempting, so I might try that next time.

Great food, good service and friendly servers. The outdoor space is very nice and cozy. Most of their foods are delicious and worth trying. Their orange drink is great, make sure to try it. The portions are good especially when you compare it to the price you pay for it.

Service is usually good, but the new shorter male employee has been policing customers in a way that feels inappropriate. He also doesn’t seem culturally aware, and several other South Asian customers have mentioned they don’t feel welcome. I live in Irvine, but I now go to the Tustin location because of this.
