We loved this place! My wife and I drove pass this place so many times without really noticing it. Reason being we don’t usually stop in Yelm but more so passing through. We finally took notice this time and decided to stop and che k it out. I’m so glad we did! The moment we walked in the atmosphere was so awesome. The astetics and design of the entire place including the giftshop section was so pleasing. It made us just wanna hang out here all day lol. Loved that they had pastries to go along with their great coffee as well. And to top things off we were very happy with the service from the staff. So much that the next day we drove down here just for coffee and hang out for a bit. Highly recommend visiting the coffee shop if you haven’t yet.

This atmosphere is phenomenal! Everything from the natural lighting to the woodwork throughout. It has a way making you kinda forget the amount of time that has passed. The variety of coffee, food and local items from Washington small businesses are amazing. Can’t forget about the customer service and staff. The moment you walk in till you leave, you are comfortable! They check up on you, which is unusual for coffee shops.

The place is so interesting and fun, with different seating options and cool things to buy. The hot chocolate was good and the coffee is strong. When we went however, they were missing a lot of the food options. The few things that we tried like the apple fritter and the crème brûlée donut were really good.

Aloha Shiplap Cafe . I came for the first time only to find that this lovely coffee, donut and local artisan shop was closing its doors on November 1st 2025.

Went on a Saturday at about 10am. A few families inside but not too crowded. It’s a beautiful coffee shop and their pasties are very good although they didn’t have a lot to choose from (could have been early).
Staff seemed nice though quiet.
Looks small but it’s very spacious inside with lots of seating.
Prices seem reasonable.
They have a small drop of section next to it that you can go shop for what appears to be locally made items.
Lots of good stuff to look at and buy.
We will be back.

My family & I absolutely love coming here! Very yummy holiday mochas, fresh pastries, and the mac and cheese was to die for. On our last visit we were entertained by a kids read along and book signing. They also have very creative vendors, perfect for buying handmade gifts for yourself & friends. Overall a great place for family and community. The new owners & staff are very friendly and passionate. Can’t wait to see what other exciting things they come up with.

I absolutely love the atmosphere/environment. Its very welcoming here as well as peaceful.
I ordered a Latte with an extra shot, hazel nut flavoring, with a temperature of extra hot it did not disappoint. The pull on the espresso had great flavor and wasnt burnt or flat. I usually expect when ordering flavored lattes for them to be over syrupy but this one was not! It had the flavor I asked without being over done. The sandwich I ordered was the pastrami, absolutely delicious and very well sized . Will make this location my go to for lunch breaks or when I get a craving! Excellent work to the new owners and staff!

We go adventureing to new places we haven’t been before and this place was our next stop. The food is amazing. The coffee could use some flavor work but everything needs something these days. The donuts were okay given we have a donut shop up the road from us a bit but Ill definitely go back and try a different kind next time for sure.
They have plenty of spaced out seating for people to sit which was very nice to see.
They have a cute little clothing’s and baby section in there store as well.
In the back there’s also the most beautiful indoor garden I’ve seen in a long time. Such a nice smell and look to the room. This whole trip was amazing. We’re very glad we landed here next.

I haven’t been for a visit for quite some time, simply because I don’t get to Yelm very often. It’s such a cozy place with so many goodies I want to buy, that it makes me sad and thankful I don’t live closer! Preservation for my wallet for sure.
I got the log cabin latte special and a donut and both were equally delicious. I would come back again for sure when not heading to other places to just curl up with a book and enjoy my coffee.
