Try the “Pick 2 Combo” (~$12 or so) or “Pick 3 Combo” ($16 out the door) shrimp tempura rolls! I’ve tried everywhere else in town, and they might be good, but Hoshi is the best for quality AND quantity. Really hits the spot when I bring this home a whole 30 minutes away and the shrimp is still warm.

Far and away superior to their Japanese cuisine competitors in the Harrison and Branson area. Huge flavorful portions. We had plenty of leftovers. Impeccable customer service from waitstaff. Restaurant and bathrooms appear clean. Not terribly busy during week day. Very pleased with our experience.

Very nice clean restaurant with friendly fast service and yummy food!! My husband and I had the sweet potato sushi roll and also the avocado roll. Both rolls were very good. We also had the stir fry vegetables which was seasoned just right. Very good place to eat!

The outside was little iffy you didn’t know what the food would tasted like , but boy you are in for a dream , The food was amazing didn’t have any complaints on it , besides the half order was still large amount to eat , and I was sad I couldn’t take it home with me cause of the long trip home !!!

I rarely give 5 stars, but I had an outstanding meal and waitress tonight. Had the Southern California roll for the very first time based on Jazzy’s suggestion. She then took time to teach me how to eat it correctly!! I’m so excited to go back and try another new dish now!!!

The food at Hoshi is fresh and absolutely delicious—no question about that. You can tell they care about quality ingredients and flavor.
But here’s the issue: when half your meal shows up, and the other half doesn’t come for another 30 minutes, it ruins the experience—especially if you’re dining as a family. Meals should be shared, not staggered.
If they had someone managing the kitchen to coordinate timing, this place could easily be a 4 or 5 star spot. Until then, it’s hard to recommend for anything beyond a solo visit. Great food, poor execution.
