La Vague became our first choice, first evening in Nice and continued to be like that over entire stay. Very tasty food and exceptional hospitality! We felt very comfortable in the restaurant and everything what we tried was very good and tasty, so we’ll go back here for sure during our next stay in Nice. Cute little restaurant with nice staff. Most of positions in menu are seafood. Food was pretty good. As a welcome starter we got water, tapenada, bread and champagne (there was something on the bill for 7€ so not so bad for two ppl but still if it’s welcome drinks that they don’t ask if you want why it’s on the bill)

What a wonderful evening! We enjoyed a superb meal. Our bouillabaisse was truly excellent and a fitting tribute to our last night in Nice. All the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. We cannot praise the team enough, and would highly recommend anyone to visit to get a real taste of Mediterranean cuisine at its best! Awesome!

The Nice fish soup, eaten with crispy bread dipped in garlic butter sauce, is crunchy and flavorful—truly delicious and unique.
Compared to the escargot I’ve had in Paris, I find the pesto seasoning here more aromatic and richer in flavor, and the price is also more affordable than in Paris.
The grilled octopus is served with vegetables that carry a clear aroma of olive oil, and the octopus itself is fresh, tender, and pleasantly chewy.
Overall, the prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommended to anyone planning to visit Nice.

We did an online reservation (highly recommended!!). We ordered escargot as a starter, paella and swordfish dish. The food was excellent!! Fresh, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Two drawbacks justifying the rating pf 4 not 5:

La Vague is a seafood restaurant located in the Le Carré d’Or neighborhood in Nice. This restaurant serves generous portions of fish typical to the region. Upon seating, guests are welcomed with olive tapenade and mini toasts and fresh baguette is served throughout the meal. Prices are fair considering the portions and there are roasted and fresh veggies often accompanying the dishes. What’s more, the relatively short menu is a clear indication that La Vague only uses fresh ingredients and sticks to what they know, which is highly appreciated by this food aficionado. As for seating there are indoors and a few outside too. Recommend making reservations. Highly recommend for a taste of the sea!
