We had a wonderful experience! There were complimentary sushi’s on the house which was tasty!
The sushi was absolutely delicious — you could really taste each unique flavour. The restaurant’s decor was eye-catching and beautifully done, adding to the overall atmosphere. The service was warm and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The only downside is that the bento boxes are a bit pricey, but the quality and presentation of the items are commendable.

My teenage daughter had a volleyball tournament nearby and so we were looking for a place to have lunch. Lucky Akane was 5 min away. We made the right choice of coming here. Good portions for what you pay and it was very good! They gave us complimentary 3 pieces of deep fried California roll .

It is a sushi restaurant people should visit when they are near Langley. If you visit during lunch hour around 12 during good sunny day, you will see the A showing on the wall.

the food is good ! i really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki set with miso soup and salad. they also gave me a complementary fried california roll (which is my favourite).
i am only giving 4 stars because i ordered take-out for the dynamite roll and i’ve had better. other restaurants give dynamite rolls that are large, so large that they fall apart and with 8 rolls. this restaurant only gave me 6 (and 1/2 ?)

Great neighborhood Sushi restaurant. Glad I came here and will come back. Great food, good prices and Happy helpfully service. Had a Lunch box and was not disappointed.

This place has some of the best sushi ever! if you come here I definitely would recommend the crazy boy roll. There are also very cool avengers action figures by the door as well as avengers posters on the wall. It is honestly very cool!

Akane was a cute lunch spot to eat out in Langley. We were out for a drive and found this place impromptu close by. There was no wait right when it opened. The decor was traditional Japanese with some cute and tasteful Marvel comic decorations. The owner must be a fan because they even have collectible figures on display too! It was a touch of personality that was delightful.
There was some soft music in the background and the mid day lighting added this cute charming, almost-sleepy and relaxing feel, like time had stopped and you were going to be free of stress during your meal. (Look at the photo of the tempura!) The server was really polite and friendly. He was attentive in coming to take the order and watching over for assistance (but not hovering).
The food was a real delight! There was a complimentary starter which looked like a fried California roll, which when served with this sweet sauce was quite good. The tempura was DELICIOUS. It was so fresh and light and crispy, and if you weren’t sure that it was perfectly cooked, that first crunch spoke volumes! The nigiri sushi was great, large pieces, a good balance of rice, only missing the wasabi layer which was no problem. The rolls, sashimi and chicken teriyaki were also delicious.
This restaurant was a pleasant drop-in surprise. A charming atmosphere, great service, tasty food, are all reasons why we wolf’s take the drive back to Langley to eat here. We will be back!
