Definitely will come back to try their other items
Our usual orders were chicken panang curry, beef pad see ew, beef broccoli with fried rice, orange chicken with fried rice, and Thai tea. Previously, the food was consistently good with generous portion sizes.
On this visit, the food tasted noticeably different compared to before. Portion sizes and presentation have changed, and the Thai tea no longer comes in the large styrofoam cup with crushed ice that it used to.
The service was very friendly. The food did take a bit longer to come out, which is understandable since it appeared there was only one cook and one cashier working at the time.
Overall, while the restaurant brought back memories, the food did not match our past experiences.
I’ve tried a bunch of places around the city, but Vic’s has that classic flavor you don’t find anymore. The Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and green curry are all super solid, packed with flavor, and the portions are generous. Everything tastes fresh, and you can tell they’ve been perfecting these recipes for decades.
Service is quick, friendly, and no-nonsense. It’s one of those neighborhood gems that’s been feeding the community forever, and you feel it as soon as you walk in.
If you want bomb Thai food at a good price from a spot with real history, you can’t go wrong with Vic’s. Total hidden gem vibe — still going strong after 40+ years
