If I wanted a brew coffee, I could make it at home. I come here expecting the drink I’m paying almost $7 dollars for — not a cheap, careless mistake over and over again. Out of about 15 visits, 5 wrong drinks is ridiculous.
At this point, I’m done. I will not be coming back to this location. The service is terrible, and it’s clear they don’t take the time to do things correctly. Customers deserve better.
I don’t even think they look at the orders. I could’ve ordered a tire rotation and they would’ve handed me a lukewarm latte with complete confidence.
When I tried to tell them the order was wrong, they responded with the kind of calm indifference usually reserved for someone describing a dream they had. No apology. No attempt to fix it. Just a quiet understanding that this was my life now.
This place has all the physical features of a Starbucks, but none of the energy. It feels like a Starbucks that gave up. Like it used to have dreams.
By the third visit, I stopped expecting to receive my order and started treating it like a mystery box. What will it be today? Wrong milk? Wrong size? Someone else’s drink entirely? The possibilities were endless, and none of them were correct.
If you enjoy being ignored and drinking beverages you didn’t order, this is a fantastic location.
If you enjoy Starbucks, I recommend going to a different Starbucks.
If you’re craving a reliable pick-me-up with a welcoming vibe, Starbucks in Laurel, MD is my go-to retreat. It’s the small moments here—great coffee, quiet corners, friendly faces—that make a busy day feel a little brighter.

Bottom line
Starbucks in Laurel, MD is a dependable, friendly spot for a caffeine fix, a quick bite, or a relaxed place to work. It’s perfect for students, professionals, and neighbors looking for a comfortable, welcoming cafe with consistent quality and service. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great coffee and a warm, community vibe.
the staff seemed overwhelmed though and took a full 5 mins to even acknowledge me far less take my order, which they messed up.
given they were busy, just acknowledging me would’ve sufficed.
will probably try another time to see if it’s consistent or a one of.
