I ordered fish and chips. This time I went with the cod, but they do offer catfish bites as well. I did somewhat like the cod fish, but it didn’t taste exactly fresh to me. It was also extremely salty. I enjoy seasoned food so I’m surprised when something is a bit too salty for me. Outside breading decent. Inside texture was inconsistent and wasn’t doing it for me either. Cajun fries were really good! I gave it a chance because I was told it was new to the area. I may come back to try the catfish bites, but I don’t know that I could enjoy their cod. There is a chance it wasn’t fresh, but who knows. I would also highly recommend they have some better/ more ethical options for checkout/delivery such as DoorDash. During check out you can only choose uber eats which is a no go, or the platform their website directs you to which is okay. Adding DoorDash as a delivery/carry out partner would probably increase orders a lot. Definitely better fish and chips at LJS. Tax and all with fries was $16.00 for 3 pieces of fish and seasoned fries. I will show a picture with one piece missing! Again fish was okay. Tartar sauce, fries, and service were the stars of the show! Employees were very kind. I’m going to give the rest of the meal away to someone.

So,I am so disappointed. The decorations are great. But the fish and fries was horrible. I came to try the crunchy dip fry fish and it was soggy and greasy. the oil was leaking all over my fingers. Oh. Yakking. They did not have any hot coffee or tea,to was my mouth from that greasy fish. Sorry. Not my cap of tea.

We were there on the “Grand Opening” day, but we were there in the evening. Well, we ordered the “Big Eats”, added a pound of scallops, and other dishes for the kiddos. Service was a little rough but to be expected for the first day. The problem came towards the end, when i noticed that we received absolutely no crawfish in our tray. We notified our server and she told us that she would take care of it. Apparently, a manger of sort, came by and told us she would discount the cost of the crawfish. Upon departure, she left us with and advice, “As soon as you know that something’s missing, let us know so we can fix it.” Well, lady, I just noticed too late and the problem would’ve never been one if a MISTAKE on your end didn’t happen in the first place. With that said, I do like the atmosphere a tad more than the Bradenton location because it’s quieter. I always feel like I’m at a club when eating at that location.

Food was good, service was great. There was a little too much seasoning on the food. Large amounts of powdered seasoning in the bag that brought our crab boil. Not a deal breaker by any means just something I noticed. Food tasted good and I would recommend you trying it.

The absolute best seafood around! We used to drive nearly an hour to visit Mr. and Mrs. Crab, so I’m thrilled this spot opened up nearby. We’ve been here over 10 times, and it’s fantastic every single visit. The snow crabs with their special Mr. and Mrs. seasoning are unbeatable. We bring everyone who visits, and it never disappoints. Five stars—this will always be our go-to!

So glad there’s finally a Mr. and Mrs. Crab closer to me, it’s easily one of my favorite restaurants. Their calamari is amazing, the drinks are great, and their seafood boil is unbeatable. I highly recommend the shrimp and snow crab. The Mr. and Mrs. Crab special sauce is great, too. Big shoutout to my server Lexy who was super chill and gave us great ideas for what to order. Will definitely be a repeat customer, and once again, SO glad that there’s a Mr. and Mrs. Crab closer to me!

We had my nephew’s birthday party here and it was about 40 degrees outside that day during an unusual cold front in Sarasota. They sat us in the back room which had to be about 50 degrees inside. We asked multiple staff a total of 5 times about turning on the heat, and they just kept dismissing us saying “they would check on it”, and later that it “was already on”. We had a baby, a 3 year old, and a 5 year old in our party, all of which were bundled up in coats and blankets and still were shivering. Our elderly family members were also extremely uncomfortable. No one in our party was able to take their coats off the entire time and we had to keep getting up to walk around to warm up. The service was very slow, although this was understandable, the waitress was kind and had half the restaurant to manage on her own. The food was very mediocre at best, and it got cold very fast due to the cold temps in the room. We later determined there was no heat hooked up in that room, as a neighboring table who was also freezing saw that the thermostat in that room was disconnected. Staff should never have sat people in a room without heat on a day where it was 40 degrees outside. I wish they had been up front about the lack of heat in the room and we would not have stayed and just found a different restaurant with heat for the party. We will not be returning.

We had a crawfish, blue mussel, and shrimp, boil and it was excellent. The mussels were huge and delicious, shrimp were perfectly done; and my husband disappeared the 1lb of crawfish in no time.
Isyah was our server. He was knowledgeable, polite, professional, friendly; and he was on top of everything without hovering.
I’m fussy about mussels but will definitely be back for those.
