The interior was pretty plush but retro experience with padded vinyl booths in a kinda of cream butterscotch colour.
My waiter was very attentive to all my needs and requirements.
Salsa and chips were the usual default quality and flavour profile. Basket was a little on the small side as was the tiny dip bowl .
The sizzling skillet although hot was missing most of the audible sizzling associated with the experience.
The side plate with the rice and beans was fine and gaucamole was decent the pico de gallo was close to being non existent.
The portions on the skillet were below average when compared to the 600 plus mexican restaurants I have eaten fajitas at especially since they were charging a premium price at over 18 dollars before tax or tip. Not only that the pop / soda at over 4 dollars once you add tax.
The meal was mediocre , the service was excellent but with the food being priced beyond what it was means I won’t be returning, unless either the prices reflect what you get or the quantity and quality improve.
The meal at 28 dollars USD or in my case 39 dollars once converted to Canadian. This price includes taxes plus 20 % gratuity.
It means this cost me 2 days out of my food budget.
Tomorrow I will be having a noodle bowl in the truck to get back on budget.
The service was fantastic, quick and friendly. We ordered a few birria tacos and seafood fajitas, and they arrived pretty quickly, hot and fresh.
Definitely would recommend. The prices were fair for the portions and the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy.
Also I understand it’s a Mexican restaurant, but I would expect the servers to be able to at least understand a bit more English. Really hard to order without pointing, ask any questions or modifications.
The food… Chips and Salsa is okay okay. Chips little bit dry. I eat in lunch.
I ordered “you pick 3” for 15.99
I chose 2 ground beef enchiladas and 1 cheese enchiladas. I told no refried beans for me.
Beef and cheese are excellent. Spanish rice is good. The tortillas itself bleh. Eh. Soso.
I would eat again if it was better tortillas.
Also the price for this tiny enchiladas…is sky rocket! 15.99 not worth it. Should be like 10 or something.
