This place is nothing but high end flavor drinks and atmosphere. Doesn’t scream Mexican traditional food but every thing I’ve had has been innovative and creative.

Bovine was an incredible experience. We had their #1 dish, the lechon, with the truffle pasta, and for an app we had the tomato peach salad. The lechon and the salad were amazing. So unique and delicious. The pasta was alright, nothing out of this world but did the job. The service was 10/10, very nice, not too overbearing, and very attentive. Overall the atmosphere was good, although it was only us and another table so at first I was a little sketched out but it just so happens most restaurants are that empty on a Tuesday. Overall, would definitely come again. Also that was the best lechon we’ve ever had and that’s coming from a couple that’s from Puerto Rico.

Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, from the octopus to the perfectly cooked lechón and the melt-in-your-mouth short rib. The pasta tartufata was rich and decadent, and even the hamburgers were a standout—juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was top-notch: friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere. Don’t skip the lechón!

Ok, this review comes with a disclaimer. We did not eat here, but I just had to write a review on the extremely eye pleasing esthetics of this restaurant.
Unfortunately, we had just eaten at another establishment prior to stumbling upon Bovine.
If the food is half as good as the sophisticated style of Bovine, holy mamma!
Every nook and crany exudes upscale artsy class.

Great service and the food is AMAZING! A bit tricky to find your way to the second floor, but the venue is very nice. We had two appetizers and two main dishes to share between 5 & we left very satisfied. The lechon was really crispy and juicy… HIGHLY recommended.

Bovine in San Miguel de Allende is a gem. The cocktails were expertly crafted and unique, setting the tone for an exceptional meal. The suckling pig we shared was tender, flavorful, and perfectly crisp. The service was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and warm—enhancing the cozy and inviting atmosphere. Bovine delivers a truly memorable dining experience.

This place is a wonderful choice for some French-inspired cuisine. Our waiter provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to offer fantastic recommendations for both beverages and food. While the food wasn’t the absolute best in the city, it was still delicious and definitely worth a try if you’re craving something other than Mexican cuisine. Personally, I absolutely loved the appetizers we ordered, including the tartar, white asparagus, and heirloom tomato salad. They were a true highlight of the meal!

Best Pastrami Sandwich in Mexico!!!
This is my fourth trip to SMA, and each have included multiple trips to Bovine! This 3-day trip saw 3 visits, and all are for the same reason, to get one of these AMAZING Pastrami Sandwiches! It is a MUST eat if you are in San Miguel!
Additionally, the ambiance and interior are a 10! Straight out of an old school hollywood or new york movie.
Service is awesome, and always great gifts in the small shop adjacent to the host stand.
I can’t speak high enough about this great restaurant!
