This spot opened yesterday across the street from where my friends live and we decided to come with a group on a whim. Very solid spot—we had a big table in the back, they played good music, and the service was great (thanks Emily!). Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks—a favorite was the pork carnitas.

Been walking by almost daily and been enchanted with the decor, so when we saw it was open we jumped at the chance to try it out. The food was amazing and of high quality – perfectly fresh salsa and chips, and the burrito and chipotle camarones was exceptional. The burrito was also huge. My child ate all my refried beans. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, and I’m excited to try more of the menu!

Checked it out on opening night and definitely will be back. You’re greeted with chips and salsa which is a nice touch you typically don’t get in the city with these nicer Mexican restaurants. Although refill on chips and salsa was $4 each ($8 total) which is a bit steep, I won’t hold it against them as most places charge for the first round.

For drinks, we tried the margarita flights which were beautifully presented and every flavor delicious. Then tried the Agavero Top Shelf margarita which was excellent and strong, will probably be my go to for future visits.

The steak fajitas and steak enchiladas were both delicious. Big portion for the steak and was tender yet lean. Very nice you get 3 choices for your beans too!

Service was incredibly attentive and personal. Hope they continue to be so great! A must try in Southie.

Made a reservation for 7 people for a 7:30pm Birthday Dinner directly through the restaurants website.

Once arrived and mentioned said reservation you can immediately see the hostess shock and scramble to find a seating. Was sat in a tight booth with a chair in the back of the restaurant. Having to dodge staff members with hot food orders due to the tight spacing. Almost hidden and not able to see most of any decorations and beauty the restaurant is known for. Very disappointed with our seating placement and arrangement.

The restaurant was extremely packed, and the host was very apologetic.

Claimed that the reservation aspect of the restaurant is still a work in progress.

The Food was great, and drinks were good. The prices are good !

I do suggest, if making a reservation call ahead of time to make sure there is proper seating arrangements for your party.

Over all would go back again.

First, I’m from Houston so I have strong feelings about Mexican food. This is by far the best Mexican/TexMex I personally have found in Boston, so I’m giving it five stars—but admittedly I’m grading on a curve for Massachusetts. 🙂

The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is very cute. We ordered the queso dip, shrimp tacos, tacos al pastor, rice, refried beans, black beans, the house margarita, and a mezcalita. The queso dip, beans, rice, and tortillas were great and by far the best I’ve had in Boston. Everything else was solidly good but not great, but I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items.

The prices definitely reflect the location in Boston, in that if I told friends back home that I paid $20 for two tacos al pastor with beans and rice, they would die laughing. But major points that they give you the first round of chips & salsa for free! To me the cost was worth it to feel like I’m home for a meal. Will definitely be back!

Went there yesterday, 2/28/26. I had a grand total of 3 long black hairs in my food. I have blonde hair and the person I went with (male) has short brown hair… Service sucked. She barely checked on us and kept getting our food wrong. Loud atmosphere but I was still able to hear my partner sitting across from me if I was looking at him and knew he was talking. Very gorgeous setup/design of the building though. Food was mid; good nachos and refried beans, not so great burritos, rice, and dacaries. I dont recommend if you dont feel like being extremely patient.
