I’ve driven by Gordy’s everyday on my way to work for the last 4 years and never stopped in. I don’t know where to start. I stopped in here and it was fabulous. I like the big Ashtray by the front door as you enter. I don’t know whether to call this a steakhouse, supper club, or speakeasy.
It has all the elements of a great restaurant and Bar. I stopped in for a beverage and they have a super great tap beer selection. I had a chalice of Stella. I looked up on the top shelf of the back of the bar and they have Pappy Van Winkle 12 year old and 20 year old. The bartenders were super cool. One of the bartenders told me he had Pappy Van Winkle flights in Vegas, $40.
I am definitely stopping back to this place to try the food. Maybe I’ll drop some big money for a shot of Pappy Van Winkle 20 year old.
By the way you can’t find these items on the menu but they do have the Pink Squirrel, Brandy Alexander, and Grasshopper ice cream cocktails for indulging.

Celebratory dinner. Food was great as many reviews states, I especially liked the French onion soup. Service was top notch. Overall though not sure it was worth the price.

Prime rib did not meet my expectations.
My date felt exactly the same way. Waitress was awsome. Good service but below average prime rib. No mojito, no Mic Ultra. Kind of a bummer.

We were excited to try Gordy’s for the 1st time last night but weren’t that impressed. We were seated in the back room which was very dark, our server was nice at first but then things went downhill from there. She was more interested in talking with the table next next to us and after we finally placed our order for entrees, she then went back to the table and proceeded to talk loudly with them for another 5 minutes before putting our order in. We waited over 20 minutes for our appetizers. Food was good but our server didn’t check back on us once, for our appetizer, salad or entree. When she did bring our entrees, she plopped them down (nearly slammed them) on the table and walked off. When she refilled our waters or cleared anything away and we thanked her, we got a “uh-huh or yup” as a response. Just not what we expected for the price. Maybe we will try again in the future.

We were lucky to get in on a Friday night without a reservation, but both our meals (prime rib and filet) were fantastic. The apple crumble for dessert was a perfect way to finish off the meal.

We ordered the prime rib & a NY strip. The prime rib was delicious. The NY strip was disgusting. The strip tasted like a bad hamburger steak. The dinner salad was watery and lack luster. We’ve had better dinners (steak and salad) at Texas Roadhouse and Outback. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

We had a great server, and the food was good. The bread that comes with the entrée is dangerously delicious! The restaurant is strangely dark, like it’s one thing to have mood lighting, but when it’s hard to read the menu, you kind of scratch your head.

Welcome to Gordys in the quaint town or Wilnernie! As you walk-in you are greeted by a friendly hostess in a dimly lit romantic atmosphere. We did not have reservations, they were able to seat us, however I would recommend you do because the restaurant was full even the bar seating; I consider us lucky to get in. The menu had a nice variety of options for drinks and appetizers and the main courses is mainly steak, it is a steakhouse but they do have other options. We ordered a filet and a tenderloin, both cooked perfectly and they came with unlimited warm bread, salads and a side dish option which was nice that it was not al a cart like most steakhouses. Dessert I had to miss out on as I was too full but they sounded delicious. Our server was very attentive and did highlight on our receipt that they charge almost a 4% fee to use a credit card!!! Besides the ridiculous credit card fee everything was great.

My wife and I had not been to Gordys in years. It is still remindful of a “throwback” to earlier steakhouses. I was looking for the Seeburg jukebox in the corner somewhere 😉 We were seated immediately and enjoyed an excellent glass of wine. I ordered a steak & fries, and my wife had the chicken marsala, a favorite of hers. The fries came out hot and crispy just the way I like them. The steak was done perfectly and was super tender. My wife’s chicken marsala was just excellent. She loved it. The wait staff was attentive and cheerful. My only complaint is that the “retro” lighting in the place is quite dark! It’s really hard to see with the lights so low. It provides a certain ambiance to dinner, but a little more light would be good for my old eyes. Other than that minor annoyance, we loved Gordys and will be back much sooner.
