I Had a great time at The Moor at Gaylord Palms Hotel! The food was delicious and our server, Luu,was awesome always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, which made the experience even better.
I had the pan seared local Florida grouper and it was amazing! The bread and the crispy rock shrimp calamari were both really good too. The menu is a bit limited, but everything we tried was full of flavor. Definitely coming back!

The food was good. We got Octopus and Calamari as appetizers and I was so stuffed! I could barely eat my main, Seafood Stew – even though that was incredible! Good things to note – you likely will not be seated on the boat and they do not accept cash payment

Service was excellent by Ruben. We were seated on boat by the water and the ambiance could not get better. The food, seared sea scallops for me and the filet mignon for my friend, was superb.

The atmosphere is AMAZING!! Being able to sit in the boat while dining was a great experience for our grandkids. The service was good but that’s where it ended. The seafood was not enjoyable at all. My son in law said the seared tuna was the worst he’d ever had and my grandson and I couldn’t eat the fried shrimp. They were very large but neither of us enjoyed them. They didn’t seem cooked enough. Our daughter had a steak and she enjoyed it. Our granddaughter ordered the child’s Alfredo with chicken and asked for the chicken to be on the side but it came mixed in with the pasta and sauce. Overall it was a huge disappointment compared to our dining experience the night before at the Old Hickory steak house.

I made a note in the reservation that it was my wife’s birthday, and i understand if the restaurant doesn’t sing happy birthday because this is not a Chili’s but the waiter never even said Happy Birthday to my wife.
The steak was over cooked and was never even asked if it was cooked ok when it came out.
The 2 seafood dishes were cooked good and seasoned well.
What’s a bummer is the server was very nice but he was not attentive at all since we had to chase him down a few times for refills and he never brought out the dessert menu we requested so I just asked for the check.
Despite the bad service we still left a good tip.

Had a really wonderful experience here even though it is a bit pricey. The food was very good with the exception of the calamari which we found too greasy and heavy. However, that being said everything else was very good and service was phenomenal. This is some of the most attentive service I have ever had. Our server noticed that we weren’t eating a calamari and while we tried to play it off because we didn’t wanna make a big deal of it, when we admitted that it was a bit greasy for us she took it back and brought us the scallops instead. All of that was unprompted by anything we had said to her. Getting to eat on the boat was also a really cool highlight of this restaurant.

I was at the resort on my last day of a conference and hadn’t made a reservation, but they found a way to seat me immediately and my server was so attentive the whole time. The food was also excellent. I got the shrimp and calamari appetizer (perhaps too much for one person, but great!) and the seafood bucatini that had lobster and shrimp and I enjoyed it so much!!

This restaurant definitely has ambiance but would I go out of my way to come here for a special occasion? And enjoy the food? Probably not. Would I come here again if I was staying at the Gaylord palms in Orlando? Quite possibly. I think if you’re looking at a cost to quality basis, just to park the car with valet it’s $55. Then the food is priced pretty high and tastes decent but not amazing. Everybody keeps recommending the grouper in Florida but I think it’s just because it’s expensive. Not because it’s the best tasting.
