Came here on a Monday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. The happy hour deals on both drinks and food are great, especially for the quality you get. The drinks had a nice frozen consistency and the flavors were exactly what you’d expect — solid and refreshing, though nothing particularly standout.
The food was definitely the highlight. We had the crispy hot wings with a delicious cilantro crema dip that really elevated them. The flautas were perfectly crispy, and the shrimp tacos were well-seasoned, flavorful, and super filling. And the salsa with the chips? Uhmazing. They mix pico into the green salsa and it adds such a fresh, bright kick — so good.
Our server was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better.
Overall, a great experience with strong happy hour deals and food that really delivers. I’d definitely come back.

Delicious and beautifully presented, authentic Mexican food! The Carne Asada torta was a portion enough for two, with the most tender, juicy steak, fresh and aromatic toppings sandwiched between toasted telera. The Jamaica fresca had vibrant flavors me and my partner loved. The El Pastor Burrito was full of aromatic spices, incredibly flavorful all at a great portion. Can’t recommend this gem enough.

Great food and fair prices. The wings were perfectly crisp and even without the sauce were delicious. The nachos were LOADED and fantastic as well as were the tacos. Additionally the customer service was amazing. Overall this was a great experience and definitely a place to check out.

Our bartender Becky was so friendly. Drinks were amazing especially the canelazo. So comforting and warm. The portion sizes were huge. The aquachiles was so citrusy and refreshing.

As always, the food was exceptional, but what stood out even more was the cleanliness of the place. I really appreciated how attentive the bartender and waitstaff were in cleaning up after each customer, which made it easy to unwind after a long week.

Stepping into El Purepecha was like a warm embrace. We decided to go for our anniversary/Valentine’s Day dinner. They always make us feel welcomed , like family ♥️ from the moment we walked in, the hospitality was just incredible. Every single member of the staff made us feel so genuinely welcome, like we were old friends. And the food? Oh my goodness. Each dish was a masterpiece! The flavors were so perfectly balanced, and you could tell how much care went into every single ingredient. I enjoyed some delicious octopus tacos they were to die for and let’s not get me started with the drinks, absolutely delicious . It was truly an unforgettable culinary experience. Beyond the delicious food and stellar service, the atmosphere was simply enchanting. Whether it’s the cozy lighting, the tasteful decor, or the gentle buzz of happy diners, it all came together to create such a relaxing and delightful ambiance. We felt completely at ease and enjoyed every second.

Found this place by accident after the Philadelphia flower show, so we walked the short distance and enjoyed some libations and chips and guac. Bartenders were friendly and attentive (sat at bar). We did not order any main meal, however. There was a nice crowd for a late afternoon on a Saturday. I would return.
