Nicky’s Undefeated is serving up the very best cheesesteaks, and hoagies, and Italian American classics in Metro Atlanta. It was founded by two friends who have both lived in Atlanta for 20 years but are originally from Philly and South Jersey. For two decades, they’ve bonded over their love of Philly sports and a good proper Sandwich. “If you can’t find a way, create one!”… and that’s what they did. Nicky’s Undefeated opens this summer on Main Street in Tucker, Georgia. Nicky’s has “imported” the best ingredients like bread from South Jersey and Deli meat from Philly and aims to bring you the ultimate sandwich experience.

Reviews
Nicky’s is one of the newer places here. They really decided to go all in on the Philly theme; you’ll see the Eagles paraphernalia everywhere. And it’s not just for show; apparently their buns are shipped over from Philly.
I’ve been here a few times. Cheesesteaks are definitely one of the more authentic ones in Metro Atlanta area, and definitely one of the best in Tucker. They also have rotating selections of limited time offers; it can be a hit and miss, as I had their meatball subs twice—and while the first time was amazing, second was drier and decidedly less amazing. It was just ok.
But I think it’s a great addition to the downtown area. Hope they stick around.
Walking in – even without the Super Bowl winning Eagles flags, Flyers and Sixers gear it has the feel of a hometown / mom and pop cheesesteak joint. You can see the flattop / grill wit onions and steaks being grilled, the “back” of the house.
Back home typically no chairs / booths, get your food and get out.
Nicky’s has tables and booths so it has a come in and soak up some Philly. The small bar / counter is a good idea allows for quick seat.
Menu is spot on – allows you to order how you want, but also provides some great “suggestions” and yes if you just don’t know – order Founders special.
We ordered a small Italian hoagie and small cheesesteak fries (old bay seasoning).
Knocked both out of the park. The rolls nice crunch on the outside, soft inside. The steak high quality no gristle, onions grilled not killed. The cooper sharp creamy melted – not so much that the steaks and onions are lost.
The hoagie, a solid Italian – decent deli meat, Shredded lettuce, tomato and onions. Plenty of salt pepper and oregano. Next time I’ll get heavy oil and vinegar- I like that bite.
We will definitely be back, Nicky’s makes me feel like being back home.
Go Birds !
I went to Nicky’s Undefeated Cheesesteaks last night for dinner with a friend and had a great experience overall. Maddie, who took our orders, was welcoming and patient with my friend which was his first time and a little overwhelmed by all of the great options. The cheesesteaks are legit. Authentic Philly style with real cooper sharp cheese sets them apart. We spent over $60 for two meals with long hots peppers, and the quality matched it.
What really stood out was the hospitality. By the time we finished, I asked if it was possible to place a to-go order after realizing it was near closing time (7:55 pm) for my family, to which Walt was gracious enough to allow.
Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized I had received a half sandwich instead of a full. When I called the restaurant today, all I mentioned was that I had eaten there the night before, and before I could even explain further, Walt immediately recognized me, apologized, and offered a full refund along with a free lunch on my next visit. That level of awareness and ownership truly stood out.
Mistakes happen, but how a business responds says everything. Walt went above and beyond what I personally have experienced to make things right. I’m genuinely grateful and will absolutely be returning with some new faces.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic cheesesteaks and owners who truly care about their customers and the quality of food and service.
My only suggestion: add a little Iverson paraphernalia to the décor. He’s the king of Philly, after all…
