We went to the Clock Family Restaurant in Duncan SC for lunch Thursday 2/27/2025. I liked it.
I took a look at the menu before I went so I’d have an idea of what was on it.
I ordered the Texas Club Sandwich with fries and slaw and it was delicious. Their slaw reminded me of KFC and I loved it. I also got an order of fried chicken livers. They were good too because they were seasoned. I had the sweet tea but it could have used a little more sugar. That is the only thing off about my experience.
Monty had a double bacon cheeseburger with fries and he liked his too.
He ordered the marinated chicken breast and he enjoyed it as well.
The overall appearance of the restaurant was clean and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.
I used to come to this restaurant many years ago for their hotdogs. That’s what I’ll order next time and I’m looking forward to it

I have been here a few times. I spoke to the owner once and told her I think their chef salad is the best I’ve ever had. I am a home health aide so I travel about 100 miles per day for work. Today I picked up a Chef salad and chicken strips I called my order in (I always do) because of my onion allergy to give them time to make one with no onions without being in the way of others on their lunch break. I picked it up and headed to my next location. I opened the bag and my salad had onions on it. So I waited until the lunch rush would have slowed down, then I called to let them know my issue. My onion allergy and onions on my salad that I had pre called etc. I was told to bring the salad back and I could get a refund. Now I have to take a salad home with me after I am off at 6 and then bring it in my vehicle in the morning at 7:15 then drive a client around with the salad until they open at 11 to get a refund for their mistake. I don’t know if it’s worth the trouble. But I guess it’s my responsibility to bring back the salad so they can throw it away instead of me.
Edit: my husband ate the salad when I got home and it was as good as it always is. I know the workers care about the food they serve, it was just disappointing not having the lunch I thought I had while I was working 40 minutes away. Other than that I have no complaints about this restaurant.

This restaurant is one of my favorites. Great selection of great food. The prices are reasonable. The wait staff is prompt and respectful. My favorite thing to get here is a double cheeseburger with onion rings. They also have great salads.

Love this restaurant! I’ve eaten here many times, for lunch, and the food is consistently delicious and the dine-in experience is always pleasant. When ordering at the drive-thru, sometimes it’s difficult to hear if the associate speaks too fast and cuts off the speaker before they finish their comment or question. My favorite plate is the hamburger steak, fries and cobbler, with a sweet tea.

The clock family restaurant has excellent food. Nice variety for those looking for a meat and 2 type meal and those looking for a yummy burger. We had the Texas club (no bacon), chicken salad with ranch, and grilled chicken with green beans and baked sweet potato. everything was to our liking except the fries. They are small, crinkle cut fries, and they do not hold their heat well. By the time I reached the house, my boyfriend ended up with cold fries. Other than the cold fries, everything else was perfect. Please check out my photos. We’ve never dined in. We’ve only used the drive thru. The speaker could use some updates. It is very difficult to hear the associates working inside.

Went with the Bacon cheese burger with the fries and slaw as sides. Good but patty was thin. Wish more places did hand made. Slaw was a good runner up for chic fil a. They have other options like gyro and subs. So still a nice place to grab lunch.

Usually the food is good but on my last visit I got the steak fingers. That was not a good choice, they just weren’t good. The mac and cheese and fried okra were great though. I took the steak fingers home to my dog. I do highly recommend the country fried steak and gravy, it’s yummy.

Best place for a family sit down with a large variety of great food. Smiling faces and friendly staff. Bring friends and try the milk shakes. Cheese fries are my favorite. Come early for best parking.
