When you go to the mall the last thing that you think is that you’re going to find any decent food. And unfortunately at South DeKalb Mall your food choices are extremely limited. However I’m happy to say that in the food court there is one restaurant that is holding on to its little spot in the corner and that is Mandarin Express.
Freshly prepared Asian favorites such as Orange Chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and Black pepper chicken are available for your dining experience.
Also available for a slightly higher price are items like Chinese green beans, Beef and broccoli, and Thai coconut curry chicken.
And don’t forget appetizers like vegetable spring rolls, chicken egg rolls or cream cheese rangoons.
Of course it isn’t five star dining however the food is fresh and hot and served with a pleasant attitude.

The Kung pao chicken was wonderfully flavored. The rice was surprisingly warm. I gave it a 1 because as I turned with my food I noticed a baby roach on the outside edge of the buffet. It wasn’t in the food but VERY close and disappeared in a small Crack in the wood.
I was starving – so yes, I still ate my food until I was full and tossed the rest out.

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and will be my last. I ordered the two entree with one side, bourbon chicken, kung pao chicken and vegetable fried rice. Both chicken entree was old like it had sat out for a long time and the vegetable fried rice was cold with about 8-10 green peas. Very dissatisfied with this restaurant and if I could give them a half a star I would.

This disgusting selection people call food is the absolute worst, I are there yesterday morning and today I’m having indescribable pain in my body from digesting this tarnish! I don’t even think the chicken was well or if it’s some other kind of animal. Cheap food is not worth the unpleasant feeling of being crunched over all night and day. Without a doubt, very displeased! If you don’t want to have dhiarra and stomach cramps, DON’T EAT HERE!!!

Expectations are low for airport food but this place should be skipped at all cost. Truly tasteless teriyaki chicken and the worst fried rice I have ever tried to eat. Save yourself, don’t eat here
