The server, Kyle, was great. She was able to guide us through our first experience here. We came to celebrate my birthday and we were not disappointed. The food was good, although there were some dishes that could have been lighter on the salt and amount of sauce. The carrots were a bit too drenched to enjoy and the mushrooms were a bit salty. The ravioli was delicious. We went with our typical preference for the ribeye at medium rare temperature, although, the server, suggested medium. Happy that we decided to go with our usual temperature. The steak could have been a bit less charred as I don’t like burned food. However, the steak was tasty and perfectly cooked. Our mocktail choices were good. The restaurant is quite loud as there are no barriers between tables and it’s a bit tight between tables.

TL;DR: Rare Society delivers a striking atmosphere, excellent sides, and well-executed steaks, but a 75-minute wait for our entrée—without any tangible gesture beyond an apology—dampened what should have been a seamless, premium steakhouse experience.

Rare Society understands the theater of a modern steakhouse. The room is dramatic without feeling self-conscious: warm brass archways, globe pendant lights floating overhead, and leather banquettes that encourage you to settle in. With a reservation, we were seated promptly, and service throughout the evening was polished and attentive. Our server struck that ideal balance—knowledgeable without being performative, present without hovering.

We opted for The Associate board, a trio featuring filet mignon, Snake River Farms Wagyu tri-tip, and Wagyu Denver. The board concept is compelling in theory—a curated tasting of distinct cuts, pre-sliced and presented communally. In practice, however, pre-slicing means the steaks cool quickly, especially under ambient dining room conditions. If you prefer your beef hot and evolving on the plate, this is worth considering.

The kitchen’s integrity was evident when the manager stopped by to explain that our original order was deemed overcooked and remade before reaching the table. This transparency was appreciated. However, that decision extended our wait to one hour and fifteen minutes from arrival to steak service. At this price point, where expectations are calibrated to precision and hospitality, an apology alone feels incomplete. A complimentary appetizer, a round of drinks, or dessert would have signaled a more holistic understanding of guest experience.

When the board did arrive, the steaks were largely well executed. The filet offered tenderness and clean flavor. The Wagyu tri-tip delivered a richer, beef-forward profile with satisfying char. The Denver cut—often underrated—showed admirable marbling and depth. While not revelatory, the meats were solidly prepared and enjoyable.

The supporting cast, however, stole the show. The potatoes were decadent and structured. The Parker House rolls were warm, airy, and dangerously easy to overindulge in. The shell mac and cheese was indulgent in the best way—creamy, cohesive, and unmistakably steakhouse in spirit.

Rare Society excels in ambiance and culinary fundamentals. Yet, in the rarefied air of premium steakhouses, timing and recovery matter as much as seasoning. A great meal should feel effortless. Ours, while ultimately satisfying, required more patience than it should have.

Went here for a friend’s birthday dinner many months ago.

The service was stellar, and the atmosphere was very lively (sort of loud).

The drinks were delicious, and many of the side dishes were also delicious, but I’m not sure if the steak lived up to my personal expectations. Extremely minimalist as you can see. It seems they follow the philosophy of, “Let the meat speak for itself.” which works for extremely naturally flavorful meats like A5 japanese wagyu, but not sure if that works for everything else. Wife had the lollipop lamb chops, which was the absolutely stellar

The food was really good. The service is pretty immaculate. Prices are high but it does feel like you get what you pay for. I wish their meat platters had some sort of heating system, food got cold pretty fast and it’s a lot so unless you have more than 2 people you might get some cold pieces towards the end but, at the same time, hard to attain with meat that will further cook with heat. Definitely worth trying!

This place was pretty good. I’m kind of a steak snob so even though I’m giving it 3 stars I would say that the steak was no cooked as requested. Otherwise the high points were the prompt service and courteous staff. That made up for a lot, not that there was a lot to make up for. Overall a very positive experience with the exception of the price over $400 including tip for two people. Not horrible but bj it great lol.

We went for Christmas Eve and the food and service was great!! My steak was done to perfection. They went above and beyond when my shoe heel broke and they brought me glue to fix it. Sara was our server and was very sweet and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.

A+ service and atmosphere . Cute spot. Service from server plus service assistant was amazing . Server Assistant kept waters full and was really sweet. Drinks weren’t bad. Food was good. Brussels were phenomenal . Truffle fries were so so good. Maybe a suggestion pair it with some sort of aoli? Great with ketchup but pairing it with a second sauce would be good plus you could up charge for the aoli. Sandwich which was good and cheesey. Needs more flavor . Was pretty bland imo but wasn’t a bad item. Probably try the smash burger next time. Overall cute spot. Service charge was a surprise turn off on the bill . Why not just raise prices a little? People in the area get weird about service charges on the bill. Just raise prices slightly .

Visited this bar with a friend for a drink, and I absolutely loved the vibe! The place feels authentic and cozy — perfect for a date, catching up with friends, or even unwinding with colleagues after work.

We started with some delicious cocktails and ended up ordering food, which was equally amazing. It’s so rare to find perfect tartar yuuum .

The music was cool and added to the overall atmosphere. The only downside was that they closed a bit early — I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Definitely a spot I’d recommend and return to.

The entrees and service were phenomenal. The Caesar salad had a bit too much cheese and dressing for my taste, and the butter rolls were a little overhyped. That said, the restaurant is beautiful, and Sarah was amazing, she truly elevated the experience!

I know this is a steak house mostly, but this was the best pork chop I’ve ever had in my life.
Came here on the recommendation of a co worker for my birthday and I was not disappointed. Everything from the apps to dessert were so good. The staff was friendly and really on top of it.
I find myself craving the pork chop at times
We came from Lake Stevens and I’m glad to have a good place like this closer than Seattle. We will be back!
