Every establishment should have an employee such as Jose!!! He’s professional cheery- and genuinely cares about those choosing to come eat here- I’ve visited here on every Dallas flight because I’m addicted to the incredible pastries but my flight was delayed and I hadn’t eaten all day- I got the Madeline Chicken— which was brócoli with a mushroom sauce and grilled chicken— FANTASTIC-
Topped it off (errrr…began it) with the chocolate Sacher cake— which was a party in the mouth!

Then watched as he checked in with each guest at a table to see if their meal was ok and to share some of his contagious personaltiy!

Thanks Jose for being the highlight to my delayed flight (and growling stomach)!

was very disappointed with my experience at this location. The service was poor and did not meet even the most basic expectations for customer care. What made it even worse was the fact that they expect customers to leave a tip, despite the fact that this is a self service setup. Customers are already paying very high prices because this is inside the airport, and yet we are still asked to leave gratuity as if we were receiving full service dining.

It feels inappropriate and unfair to pressure people into tipping when there is no real service being provided beyond handing over the food. Airport meals are already expensive, and instead of making the experience smoother for travelers who are often stressed and in a hurry, the system here only adds more frustration.

Overall, I believe this policy of asking for tips in a self service environment should be removed. Travelers deserve fair treatment, reasonable prices, and respectful service. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposit overpriced, poor quality service, and an unnecessary push for tips. I will not recommend this location to others and hope management reconsiders how they handle customer service.

It is always challenging to find healthy options in the airport. I was pleasantly surprised by the strawberries Romanoff and avocado toast. Nice guilt-free treat.

This particular location (next to gate 7) is pretty bare-bones and they didn’t have much of a selection when I was there (10am on a Wednesday). Also the coffee is extremely average and the only creamer options they have are the little plastic flavored cup ones and oat milk. No dairy options, according to the person working there today.

Got a chicken salad sandwich while waiting for a flight, it was very mediocre and definitely not worth $12! I was going to get a bottle of water, but it was $6.50!?!? For the smaller size!! The cup of water was $1! The man working was super nice and provided friendly and fast service. These airport restaurants prices have gotten outrageous, but would definitely get a better value at a different restaurant at love field!

Fair reviews Based on my Experiences
As someone who’s eaten in airports all over the country, I’ve learned to manage expectations—but this was just plain bad.

I stopped by during a short layover, drawn in by the promise of Southern-style eats. I asked the cashier if the quiches were any good and freshly made. She told me they were a best seller and said she was putting mine in the oven to crisp the top for a nice crunch. That sounded hopeful, so I ordered the Quiche Lorraine.

Well, once I got on my flight and took a bite, the disappointment set in quick. It was bland beyond belief—no flavor, no sign of cheese or bacon, and the egg was curdled. The top wasn’t crisp at all, just rubbery, and the crust was hard and overbaked. Not a single bite reminded me of the Southern comfort food I’d been craving.

I really wanted this to be a little bright spot in my travel day, but instead I felt let down and honestly, a bit taken advantage of. I don’t expect perfection at an airport café, but I do expect *edible*—and this missed the mark by a mile.

I had a horrible experience here. Traveling is already stressful, and a worker here was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I didn’t catch the name but it was a male with facial hair. I walked up and no one was at the register which isn’t a big deal so I patiently waited. A worker comes out with drinks, doesn’t acknowledge me. That’s fine, I’ll wait until he’s free to take my order. In the middle of him sleeving the drinks he says “go ahead” so I say ” oh okay, can I get-” and he cuts me off and dead serious says “can’t you see I’m doing something?” So I say “I’m sorry” and he laughs and says “I’m joking go ahead.” So I start saying my order again and he says “seriously I’m doing something” and I say “I’m sorry” again. And he laughs and tells me to order. So I finally say “Can I get an order of pasta” and before I even finish saying pasta he says “No. We’re out of that” and I just say “Oh okay” and he laughs at me and says “just kidding. But no really we are out of pasta.” I told him I’d be right back to go talk to my husband. I told my husband let’s just go somewhere else and we left. If you’re at the airport just go somewhere else for food and drink or you might have an unpleasant interaction with that specific male worker.

An angry fellow named John stole my order, but the lovely ladies did a great job with customer service! Couldn’t be happier, especially in an airport! 4 star on atmosphere, because come on….its an airport lol. Small seating for a big guy, not their fault though! Good stop! Food was delicious.

Airport outlet for the French bistro chain. The food is ok, service is usually friendly and accommodating. I’d recommend the hot sandwiches and get a cup of French onion soup to dip in. The soup alone is just OK, with croutons as the crust. I’ve usually been able to get a seat in the cafe but there are airport tables nearby. Prices are inflated in the airport.

I ordered a breakfast croissant with bacon and I couldn’t believe the bacon was just crumbled. The price was outrageous for the quality of the product. I don’t know what has happened to la Madeleine in the past 5 years but it has gone downhill.
