I love coming to Panera for the chicken salad sandwich — especially with the chips and pickle that come with it.
On February 16 at 8:45 p.m., I came through the drive-through to place my order. When I asked for just a moment to decide, I was told, rather abruptly, that they were closing in 10 minutes. Closing time is 9:00 p.m., so I was surprised by the tone, as it was still 15 minutes before closing.
I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with chips and the pickle. Before driving away, I specifically asked if the pickle was in the bag and was told yes. When I got home, it was not included.
While it may seem minor, I did pay for the full meal, and it’s disappointing to feel rushed and then realize part of the order was missing. Customers arriving 15 minutes before closing should not feel like an inconvenience.
I hope management will address this so future customers have a better experience.

This was our first visit to this location. We did rapid pick up and an online order. The food was ready on time and properly prepared per our requests for customization. The one drawback was that the baguette used for our sandwich was too tough to eat. After trying to eat the sandwich with the bread on it, we grew concerned that the toughness of the baguette was going to break a tooth or crown. So, we improvised and dumped out the sandwich fillings into a bowl and ate it like a salad. The ironic aspect of this quality issue is that this is a bakery and Bread is part of the name of the place. Seems like the bread quality should have been a highpoint instead of a jawbreaker. The baguette might have been past its prime and stale causing it to petrify. We will try this location in the future, but will likely stick to salads and soups. We will definitely avoid the baguette. Perhaps by cutting up the baguette and soaking it in olive oil, one could find a way to ingest it. Probably a better solution would be for this Panera Bread location to commit to a higher level of quality control in preparation, inventory control and storage of their baguettes.

My family and I were in the area and stopped to grab lunch. The associate Barbara was very friendly and even told us about specials that were offered. As we waited for our food, I noticed that the order was not made to go. I kindly stated this to Henry (the preparer that stated that the order was ready). This kid seemed to be agitated that I asked for it to go. He slammed the order receipt down and made an ugly facial expression. I seemed to further explain that he shouldn’t express himself as he did in front of customers. He laughed it off as if he was to ignore what I was saying to him.
Fast forward… the associates Ezra (and possibly a manager) working beside him happily granted my request and prepared our order to go. I don’t care what kind of day that one has, our attitude must be business savvy and professional at all times especially working in a public space.
Thank you to the two ladies that made our order to go despite coming across a not so happy employee.

I honestly hate to write reviews but I feel this one is necessary. I’ve gone to this place multiple times and each time I’ve had a not so great experience. It never bothered me that much until today when I got my food. I deciddd to stop here for lunch bc on a day like today I just needed Mac and cheese. To my surprise when I got my food there was hair in it. Like a black piece of long hair sitting right on top of my Mac and cheese. The manager refunded me but I can never eat here again. They should at least where hair nets or have their hair push back. Maybe even a full hat. I’m disgusted

Food was good as always. Food prep was slow at this location. NOTE: the guy in the back making sandwiches was working his butt off, the others not so much. Manager had just left the bathroom after cleaning. There were no paper towels and the second dispenser fell apart when I tried to use it. Prices have gone up a little but I’m good with that as the portion sizes have remained the same.

It’s always the biggins that ruin the hospitality aspect of restaurants..
My only advice. Find a way to love yourself anyways. And please do that before you take a job at a place where people come to have a great experience.
Pinellas county has some of the worst Panera Bread locations I’ve ever been to.

Just ordered delivery through their app. Sandwich wrapper has two stickers and is crumpled and greasy. They closed it then opened it and did something to it? Then reclosed it. One slice of bread is mangled. Looks disgusting and smoothie is warm and 100% melted. Glad the soup is edible. $35 for soup. Panera used to be great but now it’s just sad.

We have had lunch here numerous times and with the various choices in the area…..this will be the last time! We spent over $35 for our 2 lunches. When I asked the Mgr for more sauce for the new dipper sandwich – her reply was “no”! The sandwich is rather large and they barely give you any to begin with. For $35 – if I asked for more sauce, I would think that would be a reasonable request!
Now days with money the way it is and people not going out to eat – Mgrs and staff should be more accommodating and pleasant to ALL customers. You never know what establishment will be next to close their doors!

Blonde manger was very rude to older male cashier because I asked for a refund on a sandwich that was made incorrectly and not explained to us. The manager acted like it was the end of the world. Also the same person who took our order read it back correctly and still forgot to add my coffee at the end. Worst service I’ve ever had with Panera and never returning to this location
