If you are looking for great sushi look no further. This small family owned place put out in my opinion some of the best sushi in Cincinnati. They are a must try if you haven’t.

Best crab fried rice around as a bonus!!

Friday night is a busy time to find a good restaurant, but we managed to fit in and get a nice table. I had the Shrimp hot and sour soup as an appetizer; it had the perfect heat balance, and a great flavor. I ended up going with Chicken massaman curry for my dinner at a level 2 spiciness. I would say that i could’ve gone to a 3, the heat was there, but not as spicy as im used to. Overall it was great food, and the service was quick. Price was a little higher than expected, but the food was worth it.

I was expecting more from the high ratings. My food itself wasn’t bad, but my parents meals were nothing special. Mom’s pad Thai was bland and my dad’s Thai spicy was literally just chicken drowned in chili oil topped with chili flakes. I literally don’t know how he ate it because it smelled and looked atrocious. Service was decent enough but the atmosphere just wasn’t there.

Mango Tree has The VERY BEST Massaman curry in Cincinnati!

Can’t even describe the taste other than pure deliciousness. So, so good! Totally addicted to it (although everything I’ve tried on the menu is wonderful). Try their Massaman curry; you won’t be disappointed!

Update:
The service was still great; friendly and quick. But the food taste wasn’t the same as before. Not sure if the cook was different.

Original:
The place is clean. The service is quick and prompt. I ordered Beed Pad Thai and spring rolls (see pictures) and Thai ice coffee for the drink. All of them were delicious. I recommend for Thai food, the price is reasonable, portion is good for the price (lunch).

Mango Tree & Sushi Restaurant

After returning to Mango Tree & Sushi Restaurant after many years, we found that while the food remains excellent, other aspects of the experience could use some improvement.

Ambiance: 3/5
The interior hasn’t changed over the years, giving it a somewhat dated and worn appearance. An update to the decor could significantly enhance the dining atmosphere.

Food Quality: 4.5/5
The culinary offerings continue to impress. We ordered the Nigiri platter, which featured a good variety of fresh sashimi. The miso soup was particularly delicious, showcasing the kitchen’s skill. The standout dish was the Kua Guai noodle – a dish so good it alone would bring us back.

Service: 3/5
There was only one server on duty, who, while efficient, seemed fatigued and slightly brusque. This could be attributed to it being the end of a long day, but it did impact our dining experience.

Overall: 3.5/5
Despite the dated decor and service issues, the excellent food – especially the Kua Guai noodle – makes Mango Tree & Sushi Restaurant worth revisiting.

However, improvements in ambiance and service consistency would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Very good food, and they had the perfect spice level for my pad Thai. They also had a really good apple sake. The sushi was well rolled and very tasty. The gyoza appetizer was a bit expensive, but they were still really good. Our table service was also superb.

Super miffed to find imitation crab in the sashimi platter; complete and utter disappointment.

Update: I wish I could say that the actual (non-fake-crab) sashimi was good…but it was quite smelly. It reminded me of the smell of a seal exhibit at the zoo.

Look—I get it that sometimes as a land-locked region, sometimes your supply dwindles. But don’t serve it. You should have the integrity to mark the menu item as “Out of stock” or whatever. Don’t accept $30+ and then serve low quality food.

The food is just delicious , every item is heavenly scrumptious . The service is quick but the quality is so damn great . Ordered chicken satay, fried veggie dumplings, veggie hot basil fried rice, double eggs hot basil fried rice, garlic black pepper served with rice, and mango sticky rice . Believe me each item we ordered was wow wow wow

Very good Thai place. We had the Thai iced teas, oh my gosh they were delicious.
The curry was also delicious and had a very pleasant spice level for both heat and seasoning. The ultimate tuna roll was massive and worth it.
I’m very happy to find out this place is only 7 minutes from my house!
