Pretty solid spot with a nice outdoor setup, some fun coffee choices, and breakfast tacos that hit the right notes. Inside is tiny, and the front area jams up fast. Both times I went, they had plenty of baristas but the order flow moved like a slow parade. They take an order or two, make the drinks, then circle back, which pushes the line out the door. I even watched folks give up and leave. Good place, but they’d shine with one person taking orders and the rest cranking out drinks. A little system tweak would go a long way.

Stopped by for a light snack and drinks after going to a nearby park. Small coffee shop with all the usual hot and cold drinks and small pastries. Few seats inside as most of the tables are outside. There’s umbrellas to provide shade and the building provides shade for the seats on the side.

Drinks were good and the small bites went well with them. It can get busy, but fast and friendly service moves the line quickly.

the location is convenient for meetings with folks near uptown park and they use wonderful roasted coffee from Tenfold BUT they really need to be careful with the amount of milk they put into the drinks. i got a flat white and it tasted like they dumped milk in it even way past a latte. not sure if it was just a mistake but my friend ordered the same and it was too milky as well.

What a nice coffee shop! It is small but cute.
A lot of options and the coffee is one of the best I tried in the city.
The people were so nice.

Really enjoyed this spot. The coffee was well balanced – not overly sweet and the milk ratio was just right. You can tell they care about the quality of what they’re serving.

The staff was attentive and efficient, even with it being a little busy. Everything came out quickly and the atmosphere felt welcoming.

My only suggestion would be offering a larger drink size. For the price, the portion feels a bit small.

Overall, it’s a great coffee shop and I’d definitely return

Had a matcha latte w the seasonal Blackberry Sun syrup and it was so good. The super soft and fluffy almond croissant was also delicious. Cute small interior. Loved the way they displayed the tea options and their gold honey comb ceiling.

Leap, hop, skip, jump, walk, bike, skate, scoot, or just drive on over to Giant Leap for the best coffee in Houston. I’ve been coming here for years. The best espresso roast and flat white I’ve ever had which makes them the best Coffee shop in Houston and in the country in my opinion. I’ve not found anyone to beat the espresso taste.

What makes Giant Leap #1 in the coffee landscape in Houston?

Check out these details:
Roaster: Amaya Coffee – The best mid scale roaster in the country (my opinion)
Roast: Light Medium
Notes: Toffee; Buttery and Toasty notes with a hint of smoke (Absolutely divine)
Quality: Fresh tasting with a moderate amount of crema. No bitterness or acidity which means no aftertaste.

I recommend and love their Bergamot Lavender Oat milk flat white.

Note: because of their delicious medium roast, I recommend a flat white or a latte with an extra shot of espresso. You got to order it this way or you might not like it cause the espresso can get lost in the milk on the latte.

Absolutely love it here! This is my go-to coffee spot in the galleria area, and in Houston in general since it’s NASA/space themed.

This cafe will have all your espresso and coffee classics and needs, on top of that, they’ll also have a rotating seasonal menu that features creative house made syrups and flavors that you’ll be excited to try. The pastries are fresh every day, and they also have breakfast tacos if you need something heartier.

The service is friendly and fast, their communication is top notch, so you’ll never lose your drink, even in the morning or lunch time rush when the cafe gets crowded. If you ever want to come in and nerd out over coffee, their staff will help answer any questions and show you what beans they have available for purchase as well.

The cafe itself is well taken care of, always clean and well lit. It feels light and open as they have many windows to let in a lot of natural light. The structure is made out of a shipping container so it is a bit narrow on the inside, but perfect for any confusion there may be about the line and traffic flow. The cafe has a lovely covered patio area and seating area with just benches right outside the front door.

Definitely stop by if you’re on your way to the galleria, or walking through uptown Park. The other cafes in the area are all chains, way less interesting, and way harder to access, especially if they’re in the mall.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)

Giant Leap Coffee is in a great location nestled within a trendy shopping area—perfect for grabbing a cup while browsing nearby stores. There are some inviting outdoor seating options that make it easy to relax and people-watch. Indoor seating is more limited but cozy.

I ordered a cortado, which was exceptionally smooth and well-balanced—a definite highlight. The almond croissant had a lovely flavor, though I wish it had a flakier, more crisp exterior for that ideal bite. The vegan chorizo empanada had great seasoning, but it was a bit over-fried—some parts were too hard to enjoy, and I would’ve liked a bolder chorizo punch.

That said, I’m curious to try their pastries again earlier in the day, as I visited in the mid-afternoon and suspect they’d be fresher in the morning.

The staff was excellent—friendly, efficient, and welcoming, which really elevated the experience. I’ll definitely be back to sample more soon.
