This was such a nice surprise! I was at Mavis across the street and decided to call my son to meet for a bite afterward. The service was excellent, the food was fresh and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We had brisket, cole slaw, beans and potatoes. The Texas toast was the absolute best! Dickey’s provides counter service with great atmosphere. I’ve found my new favorite barbecue spot in the area!

Place is excellent. The food was delicious. Came in during a slow time, but the place is clean and the food yummy. Will definitely be back.

I drove 6 miles to get here (an hour before their reported close time of 9pm), only to be met with a “we’re closing at 7:00 p.m. today” sign on the door. Follow your scheduled business hours or don’t have a business. Waste of my time. Take my 2 star review. Food was decent from previous experiences.

I went a Dickey’s just out Harrisburg, Pa (across the street from Walmart) It was my 1st time. All the grub was delicious and the staff was courteous & friendly. I had a 1/2 Rack, Fried Okra, Baked beans. The beans were a light on meat. BUT other than that I enjoyed my lunch.

The dining experience was beyond pitiful. Ribs were dried up and tough like they had been sitting out all day. Don’t know where they get the awful potato salad. And $3 for a small size bag of chips listed as “assorted tots” on the menu is the biggest rip off.

Native Texan here, and this is the closest I’ve come to finding a place outside of Texas that serves up decent barbecue—especially the sausage. The sausage was the star on my plate.

I had ordered brisket as well. The meat was fine but it wasn’t cut into nice thin slices like brisket is always served in Texas. So I didn’t get to see evidence of a smoke ring or able to give the meat a nice tug to see that accordion flex effect to demonstrate it was cooked properly because it came to me looking more like pulled pork.

But they get points for not drowning their meats in sauce. They leave that up to you. The flavor of the sauce was spot on, but a little too thick in texture like a barbecue sauce from the store. It should be thin.

And although untoasted Texas toast bread is what’s traditionally served, the little roll they give you with your meal instead is buttery and savory. I wasn’t angry at it.

It all came served on butcher paper and they have pickles and onions to go along with it too.

Some of the sides weren’t traditional but I’ll take creamed spinach any day over beans , coleslaw, and/or potato salad.

The staff were professional and the facility was clean. I’d come back.

The meat was juicy and tender and the staff was friendly and helpful. My husband and I both got a 2 meat plate with 2 sides. My plate had a lot of fat on it and the staff was willing to give me a leaner cut! They really made my day and the dinner were delicious. We also liked the 3 different bbq sauce choices as well as the pickles and onions you can add to your plate. The jalapeno baked beans had a really good heat to them, not too hot but just right!

Very tender and moist pulled pork sandwiches and the Mac and cheese was to die for. Their chocolate chip cookies were also delicious. Free kids meals on Sundays which is awesome!!! Prices are also very good. The staff were all very nice and the restaurant looked very clean. Keep up the good work!!

We will not be visiting this Dickies again. The only good thing was the meat was moist/decent. Rest of food was pre placed in containers and cold. The fries were “freshly” fried so we had to wait. Ended up not completely cooked and so greasy you could squeeze out the oil. It was not clean. The employee’s dressed however they chose with zero professionalism. No one handling the food had hats or anything on their heads to prevent hair in food. People were just walking in from the outside and going in the back to hug and hang out with friends. While paying for my food one said visitor who walked in and hugged people was talking about how she had not been feeling well and “had diarrhea all morning”. Absolutely unacceptable!!! The side station was filthy. The utensils didn’t look clean at all! Overall horrible experience.
