Such a cool place to eat lunch. Cool sports memorabilia pictures all over the walls, I ordered a turkey burger and a pork chop sandwich. The turkey burger was delicious with lettuce and tomato and a generous amount of ketchup, it is a fantastic burger. The grilled pork sandwich comes with barbecue sauce and onions, but I preferred plain because it’s absolutely delicious as is an an onion roll. And crunchy fries to top it off. I could not find one complaint and I tried.

“Nick” was a good cashier but he needs some work. He forgot half my order and clumsily dropped my hot dog. Also the owner was very silly and said we caused “trouble”. Chick fil a high key better. ✌️

Cute place but food was just ok. A fully uncooked fry ended up in my basket and lots of the rest were undercooked (noticeably odd texture and lighter color). The soda machine lacks serious maintenance as all of sodas tasted DISGUSTING. I wish I was joking! Please TASTE THE SODA FIRST.
The cleanliness is ok although the ketchup bottles and the soda dispenser were both noticeably dirty. Bathroom was clean though!
I ordered a Gyro meal and the gyro was fine, nothing to write home about but passeable. I probably didn’t like it as much after the terrible soda and undercooked fries…it feels like a suburb attempt at being a Chicago place.
Probably won’t eat here again.

Dear franks has been a staple of the community for 20(ish) years. Their food is excellent, I highly recommend their cheddar burger and cheddar fries. Most importantly, their service makes you feel at home. Great people, great food.

Dropped my daughter at half-price books and was looking for parking.
Got really hungry, and went to Dear Franks. The place was clean.
Was your typical menu mostly, got the jumbo char-grilled dog with everything.
It also had sauerkraut on it that didn’t overpower in flavor. The Frank was cooked perfectly, fresh tomato and sport peppers, onions, relish and pickle.
Crinkle fries were crisp and good.
It was delicious and hit the spot.
Will definitely check out other menu items when I get around that way again.

I was starving so grabbed a quick bite to eat and it was pretty good. Had a cheddar burger with fries and it was solid, but nothing crazy.
Let’s be honest it’s hard to be over top with a burger and dog joint, but since it was my first time I will revisit the review when I try more items. The kids are at New Breed half the week so it is very close and will try again soon.
The staff was nice and the place was clean and welcoming.

I like when restaurants like this are willing to make a customized item for you. They Made a chicken sandwich exactly the way I wanted it. I’m pretty sure that’s because the manager/owner was the one working behind the counter that day, But he appreciated that I wanted something specific. Nice tender chicken sandwich with a little spice, heap of fries with great cheese sauce… What more could I ask for? Just a pity it’s so far from home. But I’ll be back.

I ordered an impossible mushroom Swiss, wasn’t the best impossible but it was decent.
I appreciated the staff giving me a show, everyone was laughing. You have to visit to know what I’m talking about.
