Karvelas Pizza in Hogansville is an absolute GEM. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with kindness and great service. The pizza is always fresh, cheesy, and packed with flavor — and the crust is seriously perfection (crispy, soft, and just the right thickness). You can tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in what they make.
Everything we ordered was hot, delicious, and ready quickly. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. If you’re in Hogansville and want pizza that’s actually incredible, Karvelas is the spot.

Way too expensive for what it is. Not enough flavor/quality for the price. Service: Employees are nice, but cook times are often way too long, even on weekdays.
I debated for a while between giving 2 or 3 stars, but every time I go, something always reminds me why I don’t go there often. I hope another pizza place comes to Hogansville, if for no other reason than the competition might force Karvella’s to improve.

We stopped here for lunch on a long road trip and needed a break from the long drive. We loved the vibe right away with the great looking art and murals and just overall aesthetic. We were seated right away and they got drinks for us immediately. The menu consists of pizzas, wings and salads, with a few appetizers. We opted for a build your own pizza, a red headed Greek salad, a chicken salad and 8 wings.
The pizza choices are great as they have their own special pizzas as well as build your own. We chose build your own with just pepperoni due to the preferences of multiple children. I ordered the red headed green salad which was their Greek salad with chicken breast added one. The salad was very good and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The pizza was very flavorful and is like a New York style pizza. We were all satisfied with the food and would definitely come back here again.

Been here twice now and enjoyed it both times. Had pizza the first time with the works on it could have cooked a little bit longer in the middle as it was loaded with toppings and soft. Second time around we tried the boneless wings in Chicken Parm and Tennessee Whiskey. Fantastic!

Really enjoyed this place. Read some reviews prior to heading down from Newnan. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the fries as an appetizer, they were delicious. We ordered two pizzas to have some leftovers. The caveman pizza was prepared excellent and loaded with meat. Service was great, we were waited on by multiple members of their staff. Also had a decent beer selection on draft. Definitely recommend visiting this place, we’ll be back for sure!

Don’t waste your money at this location. $30 on a pizza that was disgusting. Undercooked, missing toppings, and overall gross. Even the chicken bites were lacking.
Never had an issue at 3 other Karvela locations. Maybe the whole chain has gone down or they can’t produce consistently in hogansville? Who knows.

Awesome pizzeria in a neat town. Very low key spot with excellent outdoor amenities for all ages. Very kid friendly. Pizza was okay, a bit on the greasy side. More impressed with the thought put into the outdoor murals and space for visitors. Keep up the good work

This was my 1st time to have Karvelas. I ordered at the restaurant. I ordered The Green Wave Pie and 10 Naked Wings. The food was good. The pie was tasty and the wings were crunchy and hot.
You just need to update your prices on your website. The website has 10 wings for 10.99 ( 14.99) and pie for 22.99 ( 24.99 ). I understand prices increase, but was surprised at the restaurant when I went to pay.

I can’t honestly speak about the food, what others had looked good. I can only assume it is good from the other reviews, and why we ventured there for our first time.
I’m in business, and I know running a business in a small town like Hogansville can be tough, both from staffing to revenue concerns. I hope this place does well, and if they are expanding maybe so.
Our food was delayed, about double the normal wait time. The waitress explained what happened, etc. she did fine with that. But that was it, nothing to help better the situation. While we waited, we saw a roach crawling around on the table top cover adjacent to us. I get it, these things can fly in when folks enter. Maybe that’s all there is to it. The inside of the restaurant is better than I expected, someone had an artist touch. The floors need attention imo. I get they are old shop floors, but they are also chipped and cracked and porous. Even if sealed, they are hard to get clean. There was food on the floor throughout. The younger staff waited around a lot, but no one seemed to care about that stuff. It’s an open kitchen, all good there and I love the concept, but you also are signing up for extra attention in that area. The walls and floor in that area don’t look good at all.
We waited almost an hour, and left before our entree was ready. We had not planned on that long of a stay and ran out of time. I think a manager should be there at all times, and if one was you could t tell it.
I love pizza, and I’m not picky. I hope what I am saying in this review will give the owners actionable information on what our experience was.
