What an overall amazing breakfast experience!
The atmosphere is very at-home comfortable with a country twist.
The waitress this morning, being the only person I saw working, is extremely polite and has a friendly attitude that just makes your day better. She is on top of everything and no one has had to wait for anything.
The sweet tea would make my southern family happy. The food is tasty. Just as good, if not better than I would make myself. The best part is I don’t have to wash dishes.
And in this economy the price is absolutely affordable!

We absolutely love Riley’s. We have been here twice and both times have been amazing. This is one of the best barbecue places in the area. The selection is great. The food is great and the staff is always friendly. The first time we came in and it was very quiet and there was no music playing but the second time they had some old school country on and I loved that and it really helped the atmosphere. I wish they made more burnt ends because we always miss them when we come through at about 7: 00.

It’s hard to find good BBQ. We needed lunch while traveling and decided to give this a shot.

They have decent lunch specials and overall good selection for their menu.

Most of the food was good. The baby back ribs were tender and good flavor. The catfish was really good and the fries were good. The naked beans tasted like they were straight out of a can and were NOT good. Blech.

I’ve heard so much good about this diner. While it wasn’t bad, I was a little disappointed. I ordered a blue gill plate, and the fish I got was not blue gill. It had a dark streak of meat through it, that blue gill do not have. My wife’s catfish was much better. The service was more than disappointing. It was terrible. The waiter took our order and I never saw her again. Someone else brought us our food and we were on our own after that. No refills, nothing. I know that they really treat veterans with much respect, so I hate to give a bad review, but for real these two issues are easy to fix. Hopefully I’ll get another chance to check them out.

Was my first time going there and the staff was prompt to take care of us and feed us. The food was hot and delicious. Very tasty! Clean trays, clean tables. Restroom readily available. Plenty of parking space! Loved it!

Best BBQ I HAVE EVER ATE!!!

I got the Pork-A-Dilla w/ Street Corn & Chips
For $12.50 (the sauce was out of this world along with tender amazing BBQ and the street corn was amazing!!)

And my Wife got pigs and fries for 8.50
(Very tender and amazing BBQ)

It’s not a pocket eater to eat the Best BBQ in southern Illinois!!!

We will definitely be here more frequently!

I travel all over the country for work and this place has the absolute worst “bbq brisket” I’ve ever had. The brisket was 80% fat and very little meat. The first initial bite, I tasted like the brisket was re-heated multiple times and completely dried out. On top of that it seemed like they took each slice through it on the flattop and seared both sides then drizzled some horrible bbq sauce on to top with some extra seasoning.

The owner should be absolutely ashamed for their restaurant to serve such a horrible meal

If you guys are debating on trying Riley’s or not, maybe this will influence your decision:

Me and my best friend have been here THREE times in the span of ONE WEEK since trying them for the first time.

I know we sound feral, but this place is awesome! The first time we went, which was Tuesday, we both got the $3 pork sandwiches and they were absolutely wonderful, and I like their sauces and “chow” too. The second time we went, I got the pit boss burger and my friend got the pork-a-dilla with street corn. Of course, all delicious. The street corn was phenomenal, I’m obsessed! (Ofc I stole a bite) And today, we both got some Carolina Gold 75¢ wings and they are undoubtedly the best wings we’ve both ever had! I wish I got more!! Also, their sweet tea is great too. This place is 11/10 amazing and deserves more recognition!
