We have been voted best in the tri-state for bar-b-que, wings, and bike night. Got a hankering for good, sloppy, downhome eats — extraordinary hot wings and hickory-smoked babyback ribs, beef brisket, chicken, turkey, and pork? Then look no further than this laid-back BBQ restaurant, where faces are always friendly, beer is always ice-cold, and times are always good. Buddy’s is popular during football season, too, given its location near the MU campus, and they always have the big game on! Great BBQ and stellar service! The food was hot, fresh, and took a reasonable time to come out. Everything was very flavorful and the portions were just the right size. They do have specials different days of the week so watch out for them! The staff was very nice and courteous. All around we had a great experience and highly recommend Buddy’s!

Thank you to Buddy’s for the absolutely delicious Thanksgiving dinner! We ordered both the ham and the turkey meals, and everything was amazing. Even the sides — especially the mashed potatoes and stuffing — tasted just like my mom used to make. We were so impressed and will definitely be ordering from you again next year!

I was surprised at how busy this place was for lunch, lots of people come and take to go or do the drive through. The pork BBQ sandwich was stuffed with meat. The pork Mac n cheese – I liked it but the kids didn’t like it as much because the pork was already pre-sauced (but now I know for future). Their fries are fun shaped and crispy. What I didn’t like was the Cole sale/potato salad because they are sweet. Other than that, it was a nice gem to find!

This is the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. The wings were huge and crispy. She had me do a garlic rub with mild sauce and it was perfect. Awesome coleslaw. Everything was truly delicious

I’ve gone here every weekend for the last 6 weeks. The staff are always very friendly. Everything I have tried so far i have liked. I’m always surprised on the portion sizes, it always fills a big boys stomach like mine. The potato salad so far is my favorite side, and the grilled cheese brisket with the spicy bbq is quite good too.

I grew up in KY, and BBQ was a staple of my childhood. From firsthand experience, this is some of the best quality smoked meat you can buy. The price is on par with any other in-house BBQ joint, and it’s actually a little cheaper than some of the bigger ones. It can be a little pricy, but that’s BBQ, baby. It ain’t cheap to eat slow smoked pork and brisket. Hours and hours of preparation on a smoker before it ever reaches the kitchen. Don’t let all the naysayers stop you from experiencing something amazing! I recommend the brisket, and pulled pork platter with sweet potato fries (with brown sugar) and the bacon cheese fries for sides. Make sure to eat in house so you can get your hands on the house made BBQ!
Highly recommend! Great staff that don’t act like robots. They like joking with you, and they truly capture the feel of a down home BBQ joint. They seem genuinely happy to be a part of this company, and community- and that is extremely rare. To anybody reading this, give it a chance. Its fantastic.

Stopped here for the first time since they’ve opened their dining room, and I must say the food was great!! I had the pulled pork platter and it was hot, flavorful, and a good texture. Great portion sizes, although I do wish the side of fries was a tad bigger. All the staff was super friendly and speed of service was excellent. We are local and we WILL be back!

OMG! What did I just eat? AMAZING! This place smokes its own meats on site and WOW! Everything I had was on point. Love the variety in foods. The meat is so good. They had “potato chips” there I was excited to try and they completely lived up to my expectation. AND THE SMOKED MEAT, did I mention that? We will be eating here often <3 Staff is also very friendly Great place all around.
