From the first bite, I knew my life had changed. The crust? Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside — like it went to therapy and found balance. The cheese? Perfectly melted and stretching like it’s auditioning for a slow-motion commercial. The sauce? Bold. Confident. Knows who it is.
I blinked and suddenly half the pie was gone. I don’t remember eating it. It just spiritually relocated into my soul.
If loving this pizza is wrong, I don’t want to be right. I would introduce it to my parents. I would defend it in court. I would trust it with my social security number. 10/10
In January 2025, I decided to order my usual, and got my kids their favorite, baked haddock. Haddock was fine, but the scallops I received were VERY chemical tasting, metallic, and very dry/flaky and I honestly spit my food out. Every single scallop smelled awful. I had called to see if I can just get a chicken tender plate with fries and sent my plate back with the driver. First off, the price difference was at least $15, and I didn’t even get a refund. It wasn’t like I ate half the plate and said it was bad, I took one bite of the scallops and gagged. Then smelled all of them and said HELL NO. It was a full plate I sent back, so I was owed the difference, but I bite my tongue and just accepted the loss of $15.
I avoided ordering from Jimmy’s in February, even for my birthday. Tonight, I was too tired to cook after having a big event and figured maybe they did resolve the issue. NOPE! The price went up a few more bucks, and the smell of the scallops were the same as before, I had a little ptsd. I wasn’t going to bother calling again and wasting another $40 on awful chemical “wet” scallops. I work as a Chef, and honestly I’d rather just go through the trouble of making it myself going forward.
I like the other food, their subs are okay, chicken tender plate is good. But if I’m paying for one of the most expensive plates and can’t even get that right? I’m out. Jimmy’s, you’ve lost my business. Very very disappointing.
