Passing through this little town and just had one of the best fried chicken experiences ever. Do recommend the chicken can be seasoned a little more, the skin is crispy.

Poor hygiene practices, I spent $30 on 2 meals for me and my father to get home and find a long female hair in my chicken. The same thing happened last year when I found a hair in the broccoli cheese rice which put me off of going there for several months. $30 of food went in the trash and my Lesson was learned, I will not be back.

This is not made from scratch exactly–and just enough institutional (beef patties) to rate a 4, but after long day of hauling wood and digging post holes–it was definitely worth every penny. Hubby got gizzards (not my personal fav) and loved them. Chicken fry was hot and tasty and I didn’t have to cook or clean. Since I won’t cook gizzards, it is hubby’s new favorite for when I’m not cooking. Found out on way out, they chicken/chicken chunks in bag at counter. Got some for son, for snack/boxed meal for trip home. All in all, good deal and everybody happy to get fed.

I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich. I know that’s what I get for ordering bbq at a chicken place. But, man, my sandwich was horrible! The chopped brisket on my sandwich looked like charcoal. I swear it was blacker than an ace of spade. I would have had to repent for my sins if I served that to a customer. Geez Louise, I never.

Food is good but their prices are insane. And if you get mashed potatoes and gravy..know that if you separate them they now separate sides. So your 3 sides you get with your 20 piece meal turns to 4 with 2 things of mashed potatoes with gravy on the side. And so instead of $40.99 its $53 with no drinks and nothing else.

I sent someone to get the special for me: Chicken fried steak with 2 sides. I asked for Pinto beans and fried okra. When my friend brought my order to me she said she told them 3x that I wanted Pinto beans, but they gave her baked beans instead. That’s not what I ordered. I don’t like baked beans. My personal opinion is they’re nasty. When someone orders a side, make sure they get the sides they ordered, not what you think they want. If you’re out, ask what side you can substitute, don’t just assume they would be ok with what you give them. Also, ask if customer wants a dinner roll or a biscuit. I don’t really eat bread. I don’t like dinner rolls so I would’ve passed and preferred a biscuit instead, or a little extra on one of the sides. The food was hot and had a fairly good taste. I think I might try one more time to get food here and if you can’t, or won’t get my order right, I’ll just pass next time.
