I had been following this restaurant for a long time since I came to Boston area, so I was so excited to be there. As “Uncle Roger” says, “not bad, not bad!”

Creamy Tum Yum Noodle Soup: The Tum Yum soup broth was exactly authentic. It provided a strong taste of both tangy and spicy, exciting my taste buds and increasing my appetite. As for the ingredients, shrimps were fresh and bouncy, char-siu slices were crunchy but not greasy, while the lime added extra zing to the soup.
But to be frank, unfortunately I could still taste the gamey smell from the refrigerated pork, even though it had been that heavily seasoned.

We were looking for soup on a cold snowy day and found this place online. Small restaurant just outside of Central Square. We ordered vegetable spring rolls, the Khao Soi and Vegetarian Noodle soups. Everything was incredibly delicious!

– Pork Belly Skewer ($8.95): The pork belly was very tender/juicy and flavorful.
– Khao Soi Chicken ($15.95): This was a unanimous favorite. The broth was thick and rich/creamy.
– Creamy Tom Yum Noodle Soup ($15.95): This one was also good because the soup had a bold flavor, but I would not describe it as creamy, so the naming is misleading.
– Chicken Clear Noodle Soup ($14.95): This was a basic, clean soup that I would have enjoyed more had I not tried the other two flavor-packed soups. There was a lot of chicken, though.

Great restaurant with even better company! What A Soup provided us comfort from the cold while also providing comfort in our bellies. We got the giant shumai, chicken clear noodle soup, and the brothless soup and everything was delicious! Ate Trader Joe’s chocolate and gingerbread afterwards there and it was a blast

The soup was PHENOMENAL. Definitely come here if you are in town. This is the best place especially during cold weather. We got the seafood and chicken and some veggie spring rolls. The price is everything! I mean this size portion for $14?? And the servers were very sweet. I 10/10 recommend and would love to come again.

You know they have gotten things right when you can see the level of attention to details, just like the straw sleeve rolled up into a rose for that extra touch. It has truly lived up to its name as well – “what a soup” indeed! Ordered the creamy Tom Yum noodles – not disappointed at all, absolutely flavourful, comforting and rich all at once. Can request for less spicy if you can’t take the heat. Highly recommended!

SOUPPPPPPPP! If you enjoy Soup and Thai Food I would come try What a Soup~! Not only is the name fun to say they have a wide selection of fun and tasty Thai Foods. I had a bowl of meats and rice after working out the price stayed under $20. Student friendly pricing is great and the food is just as good.

Portion is on the smaller side. Beef boat noodles soup, pork ball boat noodle soup and khao soi chicken were delicious. But the creamy tom yum soup is not actually creamy, same for the seafood tom yum soup. Service was okay. Some parking lots on the adjacent road.

We got many more things that are not also in those pics. All food is superb! Well prepared. Good portion. I don’t find anything I don’t like. I was there on Sunday afternoon. It was pretty quiet and cozy. The music wasn’t too loud

My elderly grandmother fell down on the floor sitting on the stool and we had to leave immediately to go to the hospital. The Waitress made my 90 year old grandmother sit on a stool instead of the couch. The waitress just watched as my grandmother fell and did nothing. No one came to help. Waitress insisted I give her a higher tip, 40$. Staff all were very cold, and uninviting. The Staff clearly don’t enjoy interacting with customers. Maybe they don’t have a heart. I don’t even know why they work in service anyways if they don’t like interacting with customers. Ironic huh. My grandmother couldn’t walk for a month she need therapy afterwards. What A-Soup did not help pay for medical expenses. I didn’t know what I would do if I lost her. She is my only last living family relative left. Tiping culture in America is out of control. The business should just pay their employees a livable wage. Unethical in my opinion How many times has this bar changed names in the last 16 years. They seem to change their name a lot. Maybe to avoid being associated with bad reviews. “New name, new me”
