Reviews
I might even say the food comes second to the service, but that would be a disservice to the delicious dishes they serve.
Whether you dine in or take the food home, you’re guaranteed a fantastic experience
We eat here 2 times, one week in between.
We had to repeat due the excellent and delicious flavor, and price.
The owner remember about us, very nice from them. Greetings from Costa Rica, for the next trip to Copenhagen will should back, for sure.
We tried margarita and pepperoni, both delicious
I ate here with my wife and two children and had an overall really good experience.
Food – Based on the reviews and name I was expecting traditional, neopolitan thin crust pizza and that is not what is served. The pizza is clearly made using fresh ingredients and is tasty (kids loved it), but not outstanding. The dough does not taste like traditional Italian pizza (probably not slow-proved and fermented), I doubt they use San Manzano tomatoes for the sauce or buffalo mozzarella or Fior di Latte for the cheese, the Margherita tasted more like a cheddar or a Red Leicester was used.
I had a lamb pizza which was tasty, but didn’t really taste very italian.
Service – The gentlemen who served me were Kurdish and really friendly. They gave me advice on what to order and were very friendly despite my kids being noisy and excited about eating pizza. They even brought us some potatoes on the house after I said thank you in Kurdish. The potatoes were nicely seasoned, but undercooked. They also gave my daughter a lolly at the end which was a nice touch.
Atmosphere – The restaurant had a few people in and lots more coming in to collect takeaway pizza. It was very child friendly with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The decor was full of rustic wooden tables with natural edges making it feel laid back amd comfortable.
Overall – This is a great family friendly restaurant for a freshly made pizza at a good price. Just dont expect the pizza to be up to Neopolitan standards.
I was asked to leave a review by the staff member as it was clear that we enjoyed our time at Pizzaria Ciao Ciao. This would be seen as rude in the UK, but I dont know what the culture is like for this in Copenhagen and didn’t mind as he was so lovely. Honestly, I wish i could have given him 6 stars. But, I am honest to a fault.
