At our Norton, VA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The only regret I have about this visit was that I didn’t get the employee’s name who took care of us. He was super sweet and respectful to every person he spoke with during our time there. The food was hot and fresh, and the dining area and bathroom was clean and well-stocked.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The wait was almost 40 minutes for 2 meals. The sides look like they should be with a kids meal, my tilapia was burnt and hard, the fish was fried so much the insides were nonexistent. By far the worst dinner I’ve had here.

I caved and tried to give them another chance, yet again disappointed. I did not get what I paid for. The sampler was missing shrimp and the pieces of fish were different colors not to mention the 4 piece chicken kids meal was missing chicken. After waiting 10 minutes for the food and paying almost $20 to get partial meals, I even asked for the receipt and was told it was in the bag, surprise it was not in the bag. I’m done, I will not be going back there again.

As someone who typically dislikes fish but had a craving for it…..the food was amazing. Havent been to a Captain D’s in about 10 years…… will definitely be coming back. Food was HOT, fresh and flavorful!

We dined in and the food was absolutely delicious!! You could tell everything had been freshly made, we just waited a few minutes for our food. Service was nice and fast.

Front cpunter guy today was awesome customer service was over the top. Was going to tell manager but after waiting at least 25 min. and him not cpming out from back (yes he was busy but 10 seconds to hear how good the service was) i orderd a extra piece of chicken and received a piece half as bog as the regular piece of chicken. I wish i would of asked the front line guy his name but i didnt.

Went to Captain Ds today for lunch before I went to my shift at work. Drove to the speaker to place my order and the young man who took my order was so chipper and happy to help me. He turned my whole day around just by his positive attitude. The food is ALWAYS great and the service is even better!!!
