Today I had a chicken, fries, and Mac N cheese with chicken bites. Chicken sandwich was really good, really good chicken. Fries was meh, nothing special. Now the Mac N Cheese with chicken bites was fire! definitely became an instant favorite. Definitely recommend this place. Good place to hangout with friends and have some drinks.

We decided to go there and buy food in hopes of using their restroom, but walked out with a new place to eat before going to a show at Ace of Spades. We split an order or Bawk fries, and let me tell you, they are AMAZING. Every component was straight fire. The waffle fries were crispy on the outside, with fluffy soft potato inside. The chicken? Crunchy breading with juicey, flavorful chicken meat. THE PICKLES?! AMAZING. We tried it with a spicey maple sauce and it was a perfect amount of sweet heat. Honestly, I need to go back and order chicken and waffles with that sauce on top. It was delicious. The food filled both of us. I also tried the hibiscus lemon drop Bawktail and it was fantastic. Sweet, floral, refreshing. Also the glass was adorable. BAWK is seat yourself and you order at the counter. They bring you your food. The staff was also super sweet. Definitely a new favorite!

Friendly staff. Walk up to counter to order and they bring out your food. Self serve water station. Food was good, really enjoyed the maple butter cornbread muffin but portion was small for the cost. Wanted to order the sliders and try different flavors but that wasnt allowed so we chose other items on the menu.

Bawk! by Urban Roots was a good dining experience. I love the design and style of the restaurant. The spray paint/grafiti street style interior is really nice. The did was good. The collard greens were really good. The chicken was good. The oysters were good as well. The stout ybeer was a surprise. I regimen Bawk! by Urban Roots for anyone who loves soul food. The restaurant is small and the line can get long. Getting a seat at dinner time is extremely difficult. Overall, it was a good experience. I’ll arrive earlier next time.

We had to wait over 30 minutes for just 2 items ordered that cost $50 total including tip for self service, despite no wait to order at the counter or for a table. We also decided to move outside since they cranked up the music loud indoors at noon for some reason.
The chicken sandwich was so small and the chicken dry, waffle fries cold and undercooked. My waffle was the only redeeming item, thick and fluffy with a really good butter on it.. But the chicken on top of it also tough and dry.

Went here happy hour on a Friday afternoon. Not crowded, great prices, fast service. Honestly, this place surprised me, the chicken sandwich (with the maple sweet heat) was really really good! Definitely worth checking out. And the happy hour specials are definitely worth it!

Amazing experience the music was at the perfect volume. Drinks were absolutely amazing. I tried the expresso martini, the lavender lemon drop. To eat I got the chicken and waffles and Mac. Best chicken and waffles I’ve had. I loved that they stayed authentic to the actual dish. The waffle was thick and buttery. Chicken fried perfectly. The service was so good. I will definitely be back.

Apologies on the mess of a sandwich. Ordered Bawkin hot sandwich. Barely had any heat. They took it back and brought it back out to confirm this is the bawkin hot, and they added a tiny *dust* of powder. It still was a medium heat and it had almost no hot oil on it. Got a extra side of oil or “sauce”, slathered it up, and good to go . Fairly straight forward spice mainly tastes of cayenne and paprika. Beer is great as always, but they need to work on a proper spice level .

Went in and bought a 10 piece for $35 chicken and made it a meal for $15. Loved the waffle fries and waffle to replace the corn bread they were out of. Unfortunately, the 10 piece bucket was sad. It was a small chicken that was heavily, but deliciously battered. The breasts were split and there was very little meat. Personally, the Mac & cheese had too much garlic salt, and the cole slaw needed a little more sweetness. Was very disappointed, and don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon. I’ll save my fried chicken cravings for Crack Shack in SD.
