We improvised and chose this restaurant because it has nice view to the river. Service was very good, attentive, our beers arrived fast; we ordered volauvant, traditional Belgian dish with chicken and white souse, plus fries. And it was delicious. The best I ever tasted. Coffee was served with homemade biscuits.

I would like to rate the restaurant higher The welcoming wax great. The food delicious But service just fell apart after one hour – the male waiter forgot orders – people were sitting with their menus waiting to order. Waiting and waiting. My coffee and cognac took 20 minutes to get. The bill I have to ask for twice. At the end I got it but no action from the waiter to let me pay so at the end – tired of waiting – I paid n cash.

This is a cute restaurant with delicious food. The location is fun especially if you are dining in the outside patio. That said, the old walls of the outside patio are so high that you can’t see the water at all (maybe unless you are lucky enough to score one of the four tables next to the wall). You do get a lovely view of the old buildings in the area though.
Everything we ate here was absolutely delicious. I was surprised to see several negative reviews about the quality of the food but perhaps they have changed their menu. Everything from the small pre-appetizer to the appetizer and the meal were excellent. I would absolutely recommend their food. We ordered oysters and risotto for an appetizer and the stew and chicken for main meals. Delicious!
We had an enjoyable time here and I’d recommend it if you’re interested in dining here.

The food was atrocious haven’t eaten this bad for a long time. We got the sea food ( veryyy over priced 78 euros ) and the food was even painful and scary to look at. Disgusting. Very long service. The meat is raw, even the French fries were bad. The calamari looked crusty dusty. All of that and very over priced. . For all that good we paid 690 !!!!! Disgusting very disappointing.

One of the worst services I have ever seen. It would take 30 min to receive the orders and another 30 min to bring the drinks to the table. In addition, all staff has very rude and unfriendly attitude.

Stopped in for a quick lunch at 1:00 on a Tuesday – only a few tables taken. We ordered drinks and appetizers and I split a steak and tuna tartar with my son. My wife ordered a salad. After bringing the drinks we were informed by the waiter that the chef would not cook only one main, so we would have to order another or leave. Simply a terrible customer experience. There are lots of great spots in Ghent – avoid this one.

Can’t comment on the restaurant as didn’t eat there. However stopped for a drink outside on the street by the bridge. Excellent service with nibbles provided with the beer and wine we ordered. Great for people watching. There appears to be a courtyard at the rear overlooking the river. I would think if you wanted a table there it would be better to book a reservation. Recommended
