I have gone here for years and absolutely love the food. It’s a very popular spot to order from also, as I’ve doordashed quite a few orders from here.
I do wish that I had asked for teriyaki sauce on my chicken teriyaki the last time I was there though. I could tell that it was cooked teriyaki style but I was missing that flavor from the sauce.
And the sauces on the table didn’t seem to be teriyaki, although I did find one that I thought tasted quite good on it and gave it a slight acidity.
I have always been in love with the sushi pizza over the years and it is probably my favorite thing in the entire world to eat aside from takoyaki. This time though it seems that they changed it quite a bit and I wasn’t sure at first if I liked it, but it is still very good, it’s just different from what I remember.
It could be that the dish was renamed to something else and this new one became the current sushi pizza. But the one I remember that I fell in love with wasn’t baked red snapper on top and it wasn’t a fully “hot plate” before. I remember it being warmed, but not baked, so the fish was still raw, but the dish itself wasn’t cold like sushi usually is. And for some reason I only got the cream cheese taste in the last bite.
I’m not put off by the new style of it but I do really miss what I remember about it. It used to make me melt in my seat and now because it’s baked (instead of warmed) and the flavors are different, it just wasn’t the same. I still love this location and still absolutely love New York Teriyaki, I just wish I knew what happened to the dish that I remember and if maybe there is something similar somewhere on the menu still.
Overall this is still one of my absolute favorite places to eat and I’m sure that it will remain that way.
I did leave a good tip because the staff was very kind and helpful and I felt right at home.

Been going there since it opened, food is good. Good customer service, but today was not all that great. NOT sure about the cleanliness of place bcuz there was a roach in the Teriyaki sauce. Was definitely disappointing! NOT SURE I’ll be going there again.

A great spot in the neighborhood if you’re looking for Asian food. We got the sushi rolls and teriyaki here and enjoyed both. Sushi was fresh, liked the flavor. Order online for a faster takeout experience.

The food was just ok. The miso soup was inedible and tasted like it had been reducing for days. Service was extremely slow with long waits on drink refills. They were not even very busy at the time. At least they have lots of parking.

Make sure to check your itemized receipt because they will definitely rip you off… they had no excuse for charging more than what they listed on their menu. Also, the sashimi they served smelled rotten

Since 2021, this has been the best NY Teriyaki place in Yakima in my humble opinion. I love their chicken Teriyakis. They have friendly staff. Though sometimes they forget to put sauces in my bag, and their water taste like tap water. But overall really recommend! Good portions for good prices.

Okay, 2nd rating. Waited half an hour for my food. Asked for sauce and said it was in the bag. So they didn’t give me another sauce which I wouldn’t of mind paying for. One is kalbi short ribs and 2nd one is katsu chicken.
