This used to be one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Sadly not any longer. Service was not top notch had to wait quite a bit for someone to come to the table to take our order. Had to ask for everything. My glass was empty twice and no one offered to refill it. A lot of standing around on cell phones and talking of the staff. Not crowded so service shouldn’t have been a problem. Food was not as good as it had been previously. Sauce was bland and not that great. Portions used to be very good now they’re smaller. But the cost went up. Tried it a second time after this experience and it was almost identical to the last visit. Come on step it up!

Next time I try out a new restaurant, I’ll be sure to read the reviews rather than go on someone’s recommendation. This place has apparently had problems with service and their food for years – I find it hard to believe that anyone would go back. We went today around 1:30; Server was pleasant enough at first, but ultimately did not want to hear that we weren’t happy with our food. The “House Italian” dressing is literally just vinegar and oil which we felt should have been stated. One of us got spaghetti and meatballs, the sauce tasted like tin can and the meatballs tasted as if they were frozen. I got chicken Alfredo. The chicken was so tough I literally couldn’t chew it, and the sauce was tasteless and bland. We didn’t say anything until we were actually paying the bill ; we had no intention of asking for our meal to be comped. All the server could do was argue and say everything is made fresh and the cook has been there for years. Then she actually said that maybe we should just go cook at home. Obviously, we will never be back.

Carpets needed swept they had paper or something that looked like paper and food crumbs throughout the restaurant. The pizza was super bland the blandest pizza I ever had. The meatball melt was really good. The meatballs and sauce were flavorful. I don’t think I’d be back though but I’m glad I tried it. Overall not worth.

I might be the maddest at a restaurant I have ever been ! Being in the restaurant industry for a long time and constantly preaching hospitality- to then try a small town restaurant for the FIRST time after a very long day and knowing it closes in 1 hours and 10 min ( we checked because we would not of come if it were much closer to closing- to be told – do you have a reservation? No- I say there are 4 tables in here none bigger than a 4 top ( also saw us standing there and never once acknowledged) which no where does it state you have to have a reso., I asked to speak with a manager she states she is one, says sorry we had a call off – are you kidding me – then LOCK your doors, There were 3 FOH people standing there – and no one can help
make pasta for 6 adults and 2 children! Obviously
we did not stay! As we are leaving she says- We appreciate you – WHAT ? Not at all what I would expect from a small town business with such great reviews- Well I guess we will NEVER try it and I will be sure to use this story to tell my teams going forward!

I have been here many times and loved it.
However this time… wow. Barely anyone in the restaurant but all the staff was hanging out laughing around the counter.
It took 10 minutes from when I was seated until I was greeted. There were only 6 tables with guests seated.
Now the food.
I could have microwaved Aldi spaghetti and sauce and had better flavor. Truly bland food. And the food was luke warm at best. I couldn’t tell if the food was microwaved, if it was there was the same effort put into making the food as the staff making sure their guests were taken care of.
I am very disappointed, this was one of my favorite Italian restaurants.

Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The restaurant has a vintage Italian vibe. We had pasta dinners and they were decent. The next time we will get the pizza. We saw others with pizza and it looked delicious!

10/10 Italian food. Everything comes out hot and steaming. Their waitresses are fast and polite as can be. Definitely order a caprese salad the mozzarella is so fresh! Chicken alfredo was hands down the BEST i’ve ever had. The Wedding soup is fabulous and full of flavor as well. And that garlic bread done on a sourdough roll?! Knock your socks off good. Carlos’s has been around hartville for decades and I can see why. Their chef cares about every detail of the food and the presentation was phenomenal. See you soon I’ll be back again for sure!

Service is excellent, food was great only wish the meatball was homemade.the pasta me and my wife had was excellent if you like garlic which I do there was plenty on mine. The garlic rolls were also great.if your in the area its a must yo try. We will definitely be back to try there pizza all the ones I seen coming out to other customers looked great.

The food was delicious. The service was good. The only thing two of makes workers was standing where guests could see them and were picking their nose. I am glad I was done eating before I saw that. We won’t get back for awhile.

Friendly faces greeted us, friendly folks waited on us. Good wine selection. EXCELLENT food. And, bought 6 cannoli to go! MADE IN HOUSE.
